i saw a documentary on him I think it was Louis Theroux. (It wasnt Louis it was called Roy Chubby Brown- Britains rudest comedian) He probed him on it and he made out that he wasnt racist and its all humour but theres nothing ironic or tongue in cheek about it really. anyway he scratched the surface a bit and he has racist views

Don't think I've seen that documentary but will keep an eye out. I like Louis Theroux documentaries.

Thanks for the heads up on it, I don't know much about Royston Vasey so I just assumed it was all tongue-in-cheek.

Some of it is a bit but some as a bit too much Ive watched his shows (not live) and I have laughed (god strike me down) haha at other stuff. Louis is great, good ones recently in south africa and LA. Hes funny in league of tho

But now I feel I've gone off the topic LMAO, so I'm gonna try and bring it back slightly with this.

Royston Vasey (Roy Chubby Brown) did gig tours in all my local pubs. I used to live in a VERY rough tiny village near Sunderland and he'd be sitting there drinking at random hours of the day.
(I'm sure he lives in Middlesbrough, but he obviously prefers Sunderland haha).

I saw Chubby Brown perform at the Circus Tavern way back in 1995 (I think). He was on stage for an hour and half and he was absolutely brilliant. Never stopped laughing and he got a standing ovation at the end. I watched a recent DVD of his a few months ago and I thought it was terrible. Maybe I have grown out of watching this type of comedy.

Well theres a few different points of view,some think:yuk:while others think:laugh2::joker:and some are :conf: I think chubby has found a market that has made him a great living, and people should'nt get uptight about his jokes its a joke and jokes are to make people laugh.At the end of the day if anyone goes to see him, they know what to expect , i personaly dont treat his joke as serious.:laugh2::joker:
