Quiggs get Anne to the finalThe woman who pulled in thousands of votes for 'X Factor' hero Eoghan Quigg will be in London at the live final, but only thanks to the teenage idol's parents.
St. Patrick’s College principal Anne Sands orchestrated a UK-wide campaign, sending thousands of ‘Vote for Eoghan’ car flags and posters to schools.
Mrs. Sands has also accommodated the ‘X Factor’ several times, allowing them into the school to film causing disruption to classes. When Mrs. Sands saw Eoghan perform back in November at the live show she knew he would make it to the final, and booked her flight for London.
Despite persistent requests for one ticket from the ‘X Factor’ bosses, Mrs. Sands had no success.
“ I honestly thought one ticket was no big deal,” she told the ‘Journal’ yesterday.
It is only thanks to the Quigg family that she will be in the live audience on Saturday night cheering for Eoghan.
“I am so grateful to the Quigg family, but that’s just the type of family they are. They are so down to earth.”
The Quiggs have also generously given a further two precious tickets to Eoghan’s drama and music teachers, Gerard Coyle and Raymond Kelly, as well as three of Eoghan’s friends and two of their fathers.
