BRITNEY IN MELTDOWNFEARS are growing that “zombie” Britney Spears could be pushed into another mental meltdown.

Family and friends are worried that the pressure of live gigs on her globe-trotting comeback tour could be the final straw.

And they are terrified it could soon tip the recovering pop babe over the edge – and back into rehab – if her comeback gets out of control.

The pressure already appears to be showing as the shabby star has ditched her recent glam look.

Stressed Britney had a pale and puffy face as she hid her eyes behind huge shades when she was spotted at LAX airport.

And onlookers described her as “looking like a zombie”.

Britney’s scruffy new look is a far cry from her recent sizzling outfits which had suggested the 27-year-old singer was getting back to her sexy best.

Medical experts have also raised fears that Britney is not out of the woods yet.

And psychother-apist Dr Jenn Berman said the world tour could push her to burnout.

“She has the talent and the musical chops to pull it off,” she said. “But, emotionally speaking, it is a little too soon.

“It does leave her vulnerable to stress and burnout.”

Insiders are worried that the cracks are already beginning to show ahead of Brit’s gruelling two- month tour – her first in five years.

A source revealed: “It is too much for her. They packed her schedule too tight and now they’re trying to find free time. She is walking around in a daze a lot of the time.”

The pressure has already been ramped up after Britney was accused of miming during her disastrous X Factor performance.

And she has no time to relax before the tour starts as she desperately flogs her new album, Circus.

Britney is being forced to jet round the world to promote the record and has already clocked up thous-ands of air miles.

There was no let-up yesterday as the exhausted star flew to Tokyo to cram Japan into her relentless schedule.

The pressure has already caused problems, as the singer pulled out of the ceremony to turn on the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lights in New York recently.

Rumours flew that she was not up to a live appearance after she submitted a pre-taped greeting instead.

A concerned insider said: “Britney has been doing well but some people close to her are worried the comeback is too much, too soon.

“It is only months since she was in hospital and everyone is worried she’ll end up back there again as the pressure mounts.

“She’s very fragile and people around her are treading on eggshells in the hope she will keep it all together.”

A spokesman for the singer declined to comment on the latest fears for Britney’s health.

What ****.

It will be worse than **** if it turns out to be true and she does have another breakdown. It could just finish her off.

And just think of all the money Brintey PLC will lose if she had to start canceling tour dates and all the bad press that would go with it.

I hope they know what they are doing.

bollox.
Britney is in a better and hapier place right now then she has been for 3 years.there is no way shes going to have another meltdown, not because shes not stable(she is) but because her dad,her family, her friends, her managment and her record company wont let it happen, atleast not in front of the public.Britney is currently climbing a mountain that will change her back to who she used to be and it realy pisses me of that a bunch of ****ed up,shallow journalists who work at the Daily Star are trying to stop her from reaching the peak of the mountain.
