It comes as Simon Cowell vowed to turn Alexandra into a bigger star than Leona, telling friends that this year's X Factor winner is 'more versatile'.

He's right she's far more versatile than Leona. Strange because Simon initially claimed she lacked originality.

That's his opinion, although he likes Leona he might have different expectations and opinions on Alexandra.

i know,but i doubt Simons friends went to the Daily Mail with direct word for word quotes as to what he said.

Simon lives up Leona's ass. He would never say that about her, especially when he knows how nice of a girl she is and considering she's signed to his label.
It isn't that bad of a comment, but I just can't see him saying it about Leona.

I hope Alexandra does have bigger success than Leona, she's more versatile and has a better voice in my opinion.

Considering she's just broken a record which Leona held before her, she has a very bright future ahead of her. They just need to get her debut album right now.

Artists like her are in big demand in America at the moment, and I expect Simon will make sure she gets there. She'll probably be recording her album there anyway.

I dont think she'll have any problems breaking America. I think they'll love her over there. She'll be appearing on Oprah or somethig like that very soon.
EDIT: According to her Wiki page Fiddy cent has expressed an interest in working with her.

Yeh because there was 14million viewers watching x factor.
There has never been that before. It was failry obvious it was going to happen. I Think she will do really really well, but as for better than leona, i don't reckon.

Leona's barely been around 2 years, its awful to say something like thatwhen he's made such a big deal about making her the star she is, now he's ust gonna push her aside for Alexandra, its just not right, i want to support Alexandra but i won't if she's gonna take all Leona has

I agree i also think leona naturally has more talent and pushing her aside will make her end up leaving his record label.

Leona doesnt need Simon anymore, she'd do fine without him, Simon is only thinking about the next big thing, and that is Alexandra

I think Alex and Leona will be be around in like 5 years time, still selling Albums/singles ect, they have the voice, you could give them anything and they would be able to sing it, these two both have so much talent, two of the best singers out there.

That's like saying Leona copied Mariah Carey, or Leon Jackson copied Michael Buble.
Barely anyone's unique anymore, definitely no-one off the x-factor anyway.

Alexs is far better than Leona, In my eyes.
I am not denying Leona has a fab voice, but i feel Alex is more versatile and who also has a fab voice and actually has a personality.

Well you didn't actually say what she copied, to be fair...
Simon's right though, Leona's got an incredible voice but she's been typecast as a ballad singer. Alexandra's very versatile.

See I think both Leona and Alex could sing anything given to them, Leona even sung an Opera song! I am not buying comparing them two, they are both different, both could sing anything, both will have a massive carrer a head of them.
This 'versatile' thing is a misnomer......it's ok to be versatlie if you're excellent at each. Alex is very good, but when Beyonce sang there was a definite class gap. Ok, it's Beyonc'e song I know.
If Cowell really wants to put them up against each other (and so far alex has said only nice things about leona), he is running the risk of losing leona long term.
On t'other hand, this constant comparison thing could work in Leona's favour. It keeps her in the media's attention here, when she's out recording in america or wherever. I'm sure Mr. Cowell won't mind one bit as long as they are making money for him. I hope eventually Leona can get out of the Syco deal. :dance:
