I think itunes has two major flaws;

A - you cant plug your ipod in another PC, so if yours dies, you loose all your music.

B - if you delete songs on your PC, it does on your ipod.

Is there anyway of getting around A?

A - Make it so you manually add tracks.
B - Make it so you manually add tracks.

I have a 10GB hard drive, and an 80GB ipod, so my ipod library has NOTHING on it, yet my ipod has like.. 3000 tracks.

Download iPod PC Transfer HERE (http://www.ipodpctransfer.com/)
It will transfer your music to another computer from your iPod

Nope, there is a program that is avialable so that you can transfer your music from you iPod to your computer, before you update your iPod. And not sure about the first one though, you should just plug it in to one where your music is anyway. And also backing up your music helps. :thumbs:
