Jonathan Ross has admitted that he has been having 'fun' while on suspension from the BBC for misconduct.

The presenter revealed that he has been spending his unexpected free time smoking cigars, watching episodes of Sex And The City and eating three lunches a day.

Ross was suspended from the BBC for 12 weeks after making vulgar calls to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs on his Radio 2 show. Russell Brand later resigned from his position at the radio station.

The star used the messaging blog Twitter to reveal how he has occupied himself while not working.

"Smoking a cigar and watching Sex and the City season 6. Suspension is fun," he wrote. "Wondering what record I should play on first radio show. Maybe – 'You’re Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone'."

The blog also states that he has been watching TV in bed with his wife, suffering from the flu and enjoying three lunches a day.

Ricky Gervais recently claimed that Ross was "devastated" by the row and recognises that his behaviour was unacceptable.

Good on him I say, I think it's stupid for people to deride him because he's not miserable. It's the oversensitive people that's the problem here, 99% of the people who complained probably didn't even LISTEN to the actual recording, instead they let a tabloid stir them into a rage because ultimately they are sheep that couldn't watch an episode of the tweenies without finding something to complain about.
