Launch show ideas

I think we're all agreed that for the show to have any chance of success, it needs to launch with a bang - so how would you do the launch show?

For me it's about setting the scene for the series, and therefore I would be starting the Heaven and Hell twist from the very beginning, and also ending with a twist which should encourage people to tune in the next night.

Therefore I'm going to take advantage of the fact that for Celebrity Big Brother the housemates usually meet Davina before they go in. On the stage with Davina will be a box of 12 keys (in a BBUS style voting box) - 6 have blue tips, 6 have red tips. The housemates randomly select a key, with a blue key meaning they must enter through the blue door - into heaven, and a red key meaning they enter through the red door - into hell!


So that's the housemates randomly divided - so only thing left to do during the launch show is decide upon the first Head of House. Now, the Head of House will come from Heaven, but the HMs from hell will be involved too. It will basically be an endurance challenge - the Heavenly Housemates must pull down on a lever above their heads and hold it as long as possible. If they loose it go they are eliminated - and the HM from Hell they're paired up with gets soaked in something nasty.

It's a challenge which would start at the end of the launch show but be expected to continue beyond it, hence encouraging people to follow it's progress during Big Mouth and subsequent streaming, or catch up on Saturday nights show.

Personally, I'd just like a simple launch with celebrities talking to Davina before entering and allow them to have a nice easy first night.

i think maybe a small interview with davina before going in to replace the vts would be good

Simple Launch but with a twist which i have in mind atm.. The Cheeky Secret task.. One of the cheeky girls enter and the other one enters a secret room and they swap places for the first 4 days! :spin:

Then normal from then :)

Definitely something to keep viewers hooked, maybe do the viewers choice thing (the producers select a housemate and we have to vote for challenges etc)

Personally id keep the VT's as not all the celebs going in are well known and people tend to want to learn basic details about a person before they enter the bb house or they may lose interest

They could do what they did with the first Celebrity Big Brother and actually send the celebs in earlier in the day, and then use the live show for something else (they nominated back in CBB1 - which is probably the only time Davina's announced the nominees to the house, except for the "we nominate, you evict" type twists.).

Personally I would HATE the heaven/hell divide to be repeated again because you should never use a twist more than once (HND failed as did heaven/hell) - and this would be the THIRD time! But yes I would like something to get the HM's and us entertained throughout the series - right from the start. A structured series with only a couple of twists (but very big ones) would be nice.

Normal launchs are good.
Just make sure it's done well and there's lots of suspence. :spin2:
