Panto Prince Charming Cameron Stout has been getting in some practice for protecting Snow White from the wicked queen this Christmas.

The Big Brother 4 winner is the star attraction in this year's HM Theatre production, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which will be at the temporary base in Aberdeen University's Hilton campus.

Cameron was at Provost Skene's House yesterday to publicise the show.

He was joined by young Aberdeen actress Laura Harrow, as Snow White, and Julie Coombe as her evil nemesis.

The panto will also feature Alan McHugh, of High Road fame, as Nurse Gertie, as well as the Seven Dwarfs.

The season is sponsored by Haven and British Holidays, which will be giving away a free family holiday at every performance.

The panto runs from December 10 to January 8. Telephone Aberdeen Box Office on 01224 641122 for ticket details.

CAM'S PANTO SACKS DWARFS

Dec 8 2004

By Bob Dow

BOSSES of the pantomime starring Big Brother winner Cameron Stout have sacked kids hired to play the Seven Dwarfs.

The children spent four weeks rehearsing for Snow White before getting the boot.

The producer claimed that playing a dwarf is 'tricky' and the kids posed a safety risk as they couldn't take direction.

The parents of the dwarfs are furious that the actors were axed by phone, just five days before the curtain goes up at His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen.

One dad said: 'The way they have been treated is absolutely appalling.

'It's heartbreaking to tell your child they are not wanted.'

And he claimed their costumes caused the problems and that the kids couldn't see out of their masks.
