My signature

My signature is 500x380 and has one row of text at the bottom like its allowed yet the stupid "Show sig" shows up!

The height limit for sigs is 300px, so that's probably why...

It says "Show full signature" Which is only used when your signature is over 380 in height. Which mine isn't.

The limit is currently 380px high. I think that is quite generous myself

Which is probably correct since it's been 300px for at least a year. Can an admin clarify if it's 300px or 380px?

Nevertheless, I'm guessing the "Show full signature" thing will have been programmed to show a certain height for the signature, and when a sig goes over this height, the button will show...

Matt! I did a little experiment and the big white square which is 500X350 doesn't trigger the little "Show sig thing"

I don't think they should be banned, but I do think people should start making them fit the limits.

I mean, these restrictions have been in place for quite a while - it's only since this "Show full signature" button has been installed to enforce the restrictions that there has been hassle, as members can no longer get away with going over the limit.

Well, I just don't really see much point in them, they're just a bigger avatar really. And if they're causing all this trouble then I think it's for the best.

Its not sigs cauing trouble its the rule which isn't actually a proper rule cause it says you can't have a banner over 300 when infact I've proved you can.

I've just tried my own experiment, and a 300px height banner with 5 lines of text is working fine.

I'm presuming this means that if you have no lines of text you can get away with having a banner with an extended height of around 380px.

As for the center align thing, I think this pushes down your banner a bit causing the button to show but I'm not sure.

I think whoever moderates the banner size rule needs to make their mind up, one day it's 300px the next it's 350px. So confusing.

If I remember correctly it's officially been 300px for the whole of the time I've been on TiBB. I got a bit confused earlier on - I thought it was 350px but I think I was mistaken.

But now it seems James said the height limit is 380px which confuses things more. :conf2:

If members kept their sigs within the rules set out then we wouldn't need the feature. Take a note of the maximum dimensions so that in the future you don't make a sig which is too big.

Maybe its Lucy's cup size thats breaking the limit?

I had this problem some months ago, where I tried to put jamie Oliver in my sig..it wouldnt allow that either..

Because I had a banner which was 300 in height, and I could only fit one row of text before it cut off..

But it might be 350 :\
