Huge selection of great playstation 3 games, more high street shops being closed for good, job cuts, bailifts knocking on people's doors (if a window is left open they have the legal right to enter), people looking back and saying "the naughties a good decade?"

I think the recession will stop sooner rather than later, but it'll be a gradual step up to normality.

It will never end in 2009. The world agreed on this: it will stop in 2010. It's too early, it has only begun and the hardest part isn't finished.
So far it has been a financial crisis but in February, it will be an economic one...and for good !

Noo, I didn't mean it would stop in 2009 - my post was confusing, sorry.
I meant after the initial drop in the first quarter of 2009 (I think the GDP is by 4%) - this is when countries take extreme measures to combat the recession (which results in the economic crisis). I meant all of this will happen in 2009, not be finished in 2009.

Oh right, sorry I misunderstood.
I agree, the governments will have to do everything to stop that and so far they have done a decent job (for once lol).

According to some of the best economists and the governments, it will end fall 2010. I think 2009 will be THE year as far as Business and Economy are concerned.
