I dont really see the point, it really invades peoples privacy, they could put a mic outside the door, but to have vision mixers staring at you having a **** is quite creepy

I think if they took the cams out then hms would all be going in there in twos (if you know what I mean). Then everyone in TV land would be screaming "hey why aren't there cameras in there!".

People would go in to bitch, even with mics, they could use sign language to suggest who to vote for.
(I don't mean literal sign language, I mean gestures haha).

I know in France they don't, the French Ofcom refused the producers to do so. However, there is a mic in the toilets and only one person is allowed in them.
In other countries, I reckon they turn the cameras off while the housemates are doing a poo or something lol

Yeah, it's my understanding that BBUK producers only turn on toilet cameras when two or more people enter at a time, or if one person enters for something that they know isn't them doing their business (e.g. when Kemal did the secret agent task watching a TV in the toilet).

It's not really wrong or disgusting because it is never shown on the highlights or live feed but I think that there should be a strict rule about one person in the toilet at a time. BB should lock up the toilet when someone is in there and unlock it when someone comes out then lock it again when nobody is in there.

I don't think I could do anything if I know I am being watched. It's ok to be filmed while you're sleeping or taking a shower but making a poo ? That's wrong, I couldn't stand that.

It is really weird.. I mean, they don't have cameras in the celebrities toilets, so why have them in the normal people loo's?
They should really just make the loo mini (separate to the bathroom), and make a rule saying only one person in at a time.. would work somewhat better imo..

Yes, it necessary. Big Brother needs to see ALL. BB always films the toilet, and you can see that when we see the gallery on BBLB. The toilet only has a small monster rather than a full screen one like other cameras. We've seen footage of housemates crying in the toilet, so obviously cameras are rolling in there all the time.

But they may turn them off when a housemate is doing their business ? I mean it's kinda disturbing watching somebody in the toilets.
Thats the whole meaning behind 'Big Brother', cameras everywhere. Big brother doesnt care about dignity, it wants to keep all eyes on you at all times.

But we don't watch them in the toilet, they don't show it when they're doing their business.
Like Aaron said - interesting things happens in the toilet, such as crying and important clips that can add or take away our interpretation of someones character.

I didn't means us, viewers, but the producers.
I agree with Aaron too, important things happen in the toilets then it's interesting to put the cameras on but they should turn them off when the housemates are doing something way more private.

I think the producers would probably blank the screen or something whilst a HM do their business! I can't imagine they themselves would be too keen on watching, haha.

Safety reasons.
If something was to happen in the toilet, they wouldn't have any proof.
Just to add to this, I think in BB4 one of the toilets didn't have a camera in and something actually happened ... and it was sorted out in the toilet where there was just a shot of the door and whispers. I think it was BB4 anyway
