The Sun say he is in last minute talks with the producers to appear on the show..

EIGHTIES pop icon Steve Strange is in last minute talks to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The oddball singer, 49, who found fame in New Romantic band Visage, wants to make it as a reality TV star.

And bosses are desperate to sign him after watching David Van Day, singer in Eighties band Dollar, causing havoc on ITV1’s I’m A Celebrity.

They are hoping Steve, who won Children In Need’s Celebrity Scissorhands two years ago, will tell all about his colourful life and mysterious sexuality. A source said: “He’s not a huge name like LaToya Jackson but he’s a zany character and that’s what Big Brother is all about.

“Steve’s got a murky past and he’s very open with it. He’s not afraid of drama and he’s a captivating character.” The singer — real name Steven John Harrington — has appeared in Eighties drama Ashes to Ashes as himself. He has battled heroin addiction and was once prosecuted for shoplifting.

If he's anything like Van Day then get him in there right away! That man single-handedly kept I'm a Celeb alive this year.

Along with Nicola too. If it wasnt for their arguments and the "game" they had planned, IAC wouldnt have been good at all.

Agree with above.............

Who is the bloke from A1 and the Scottish politician though? If these are in, they shouldn't be.....and the pay some of these people are getting........why does Michelle Heaton wana put herself thru this, ditto Pinder? :shrug: Do they need any more publicity?

Yes please!!! He's always great on Celebrity Scissorhands, like this year he broke into tears and refused to do any cuts due to his "hair allergy"! :laugh3:

Omg please. Hes hilarious in celeb scissorhands. So at the moment do we have 5 males and 6 females? There has been 11 launch housemates in both CBB4 and CBB5 I think.
