I remember when I first joined The forum was really friendly there was rarely any huge arguments and people generally got along, the forum is still kindal ike that to an extent but there's a darker edge to it now, there's a lot more sniping and arguing and i think it's making TIBB a very uncomfortable Forum. People have said it for ages that TIBB isn't as great as what it was but why can't we make it like it was?

The awards yesterday was a great example, people were being horrible to winners and people were bitching back in response (including myself) and I think we ruined it which is ultimately rude to Corkie, the winners and anyone who was enjoying the thread.

I've also noticed a growing trend of members insulting and spreading rumours about certain singular members which I think isn't right. I'm not saying that you got to love each member but is it possible that if you don't like someone then try not to talk about them?

I'm not saying don't argue pretend to be happy all the time since that's impossible. But is it possible that if you have an argument you can try to sort it out in the thread? and not let it spill over to other parts of TIBB, if you can't could you agree to disagree and let sleeping dogs lie?

I'm not trying to act like some sort of saint, I know I've done wrong in the past but I think we all need to learn to live and let live.
I personally apologise to Corkie and anyone who I might have offended yesterday.

C'mon people Live and let live!

EDIT: I'm not attention seeking, or trying to start a fight. I just want people to either talk through their problems or live and let live.

I found certain people in the awards thread quite rude, but I managed to get off quite lightly in comparison to others

It won't change enless certain members do, and I don't think those members will.

The people who are online too often are the ones only able to come up with the conflict. Easy solution and it's so damn true.

Pink, I'm not being horrible, just curious.
Why do you never use capitals? I've just been wondering for a long time lmao.

It's not nice when you see certain members being victimised for no reason other than jealousy and bitterness that everyone else doesn't hate them.

The only solution would to be to ban about three members, infinitively that is. But I know that won't happen. However I have decided to try to report posts far more often.

Since I joined in February 2006 the forum has been changing all the time, and not for the better at times.
It's impossible to go back to the way it was but if at least some members could act better, that'd be awesome.
It's just a forum, nothing more, nothing less but it's not a reason to make it uncomfortable to read out.
I can't say anything about arguments and cliques because I have been involved in both (and I still don't know how I managed NOT to get a warning lol) but special threads meant to special cliques are pointless and bring arguments for nothing (just like this afternoon). I mean, it's a forum, not msn where you can have private discussions: threads are meant to everyone and it's a bit unfair to ignore people.

That being said, we shouldn't think one second of going back to 'before', we have to deal with the whole situation because it's turning people off posting.

One more thing, when members are banned, people should get over it, it's always been deserved and they know it. There's nothing more stupid but making threads about 'omg why was he/she been banned ?' Mods know what they are doing and I think we should trust them to sort the issue out.

Yeah, Remy.. the best thing TiBB ever done was to ban that Stropz.. She's a right arsehole.

You know your case was different and special, I have even been involved.
Except your case, all mods' decisions have been fair and people who don't agree with make the forum more uncomfortable than it is to read out.

Of course but you know your case was way different because we felt it was more than unfair. I still can't believe the mods did forbid everyone to talk about you, but I can see why: every discussions involved Linda ended up in a huge mess.

Exactly, if you ignore (ignoring does not entail bitching about or fighting with) the people that irritate you, you stop finding them annoying after a while and just accept that they are there. I think a lot of people are ridiculously unfair towards Hannah in particular, I've never seen her do anything that warrants the levels of hate she gets on here sometimes. There are other members who've been getting abuse on here, not nearly as much as Hannah, but that's justifiable (as far as justifying abuse goes..) because it's generally in proportion to how much of a tool they've been. I think a lot of people on here need to take a chill pill and go outside a bit more, take a few deep breaths and remember that it's just the Internet. :spin2:

Well said Dezzy, Remy, Princess and Zee.

When I first joined the forum it was a great a place for discussion; all members seemed to have opinions on everything. Plus, the discussions were lively and vibrant. There were arguments and there were fights, but there wasn't the bad attitude that exists these days.

I think that the whole reasons for all of these arguments is because people are getting a little to melodramatic about what other people say Take for example

- Someone Says that Britney is rubbish. All of a sudden all of the britney fans will turn against them for having a different opinion to them about Britney Spears

In cases like these, People end up having arguments over, something so tiny, like saying Britney is rubbish

However in this case

- Someone says that your family should Die. Now that is obviously breaking the rules and because it is so serious, an argument should break out without people thinking that you are melodramatic and attention seeking

I think that people have just got to respect that others have opinions, and although you may not like them, that cannot be changed

I hope you realise that I wouldn't attack someone for having a negative opinion on her? It gets heated because its got to the point where people are doing it for fun, or for a reaction. Like the other night, someone got a group of people in the chat room an started discussing ways to piss off the Britney fans. That's why it gets heated. We get **** for liking Britney and the blame is put on us.
