Why is it always that the person who brings up annoying reminders about existing threads happens to be the person who made those existing threads?

I'm not a mod and why isn't it my place to say? If there's already a thread on the EXACT same subject, it's pointless having two on the same topic.

thats because some people have nothing better to do than to check the uniqueness of each thread, and then jump down their throats when there is a duplicate

Jump down their throats? LMAO! All I did was provided a link to another thread of the same topic.

Why is it nothing to do with me? I visit the forum as well y'know and I'd prefer to have one thread to discuss a particular topic than two/three.

But we all know your real concern is that this thread would distract from YOUR thread on the subject. Come on, beyond that, do you think ANYBODY honestly gives a **** that their are two threads? Chill out man, stuff like this dont matter.

Give me an example of someone "jumping down their throats" when there's a duplicate thread then. I don't see any.

I made the thread first so therefore I think it's fair if that one is used. It's a bit annoying when someone makes a duplicate two months later and you know you made the same thread ages ago and nobody posted there.

People can use which ever one they want, it is up to the mod's to figure out what to do. Of course, you can still post reminders all you like, as long as you know the majority of forum populace on the internet finds reminding others of an existing thread more annoying than duplicate threads. Especially when the reminder is partly a self promotion method.

Their are bigger fish to fry than how many comments Callum's topics get, I would imagine.
