No, he isn't funny in the slightest.

In a way, he is the new russel brand.
Certainly the best of a bad bunch of auditionees since celeb hijack; the reaction to him has been pretty much the same as russ (via forum standards!)
He's young and will learn, maybe he'll grow his hair, stop washing and outro to an anectote featuring his ballbags?
In all seriousness though, he's a rising star and has the opportunity to grow into a better live presenter than brand, he has the wit, just lacking in maturity of everything else. Give him time!

I would rather stick needles in my eyes than watch him.

Not a chance. Comedy is not so much about what you say than how you say it. And just by looking at the guy, he is never going to be a big mainstream comedian. He just is not that funny, and he lacks an aura to call his own.

He really is very vile isn't he. I've not had so much dislike for someone on TV since... Zezi!

They would be trying to find another job.
Most of the audience sounded like they were laughing because they had to and not because what he was saying was funny. Insulting people is not funny.

Fair enough Sam a some of what you say is true, especialy about the audience being told to laugh thats a fact. All i'm saying is lets give the guy a chance and see how he develops lol.
