Channel 4 has offered refunds to viewers of Big Brother's Big Mouth who used an incorrect text number to contact the show.
The E4 spinoff programme invited fans to send SMS messages to 83188 rather than the correct number 84444 when it returned for a new series last night. As a result, producers were unable to view texts which had been sent by fans.
Those affected by the error have now been requested to contact Channel 4 by post to receive refunds. Details are available on the official Big Brother website.
In a statement, the broadcaster said: "We are really sorry for this error and any inconvenience this may have caused you."
The Big Mouth broadcast followed the live launch show on Channel 4, which saw 11 new celebrity contestants entering the house.
