Why do people judge Latoya on the way she looks?

I've noticed some people are like "i hate her she looks weird" or "she looks horrible" when surely you should be judging her on how she acts in the house and not her face?

It's a reality show, not a beauty pageant. :rolleyes:

Yeah I've noticed this too, especially one member in particular saying stuff like "I don't like her nose, she's so up her own arse get her out!" etc. It's uncalled for.

I dislike her at the moment because she seems to end conversations when in large groups.. like not saying much when asked. and seperates herself by go talking to one person at a time, i know she obviously feels more comfortable doing that but 2 days in you shouldnt be seperating yourself.

She does look a bit wierd though that doesnt come into my opinion.

^Yeah that's a perfectly fine opinion. I mean, fair enough if you find her boring or something, but to judge her on appearance is just a bit uncalled for/unfair really.

I agree. I really like her. I think she is an AMAZING person and deffo one of the best 'Jacksons'. She still needs to get out of her shell but when she does i think she could be in the final!! :bigsmile: Good luck to her!!!!

There is a thing call first impressions. The first thing you see of a person is their face. When you look at someone like LaToya, you see heaps of plastic surgery, so much so, that it looks like mutilation. Some people begin to wonder if the person has psychological issues, or has some mental issues. It's human nature. Do you honesty think that people can look past Pete Burns' face the first time they see him? No.

That being said, you do get to know a person. If someone is saying that they don't like her simply because of her facial features, that sad. IMO, LaToya's face isn't so bad that it makes me sick looking at it. She's a nice person. She doesn't look horrible. People on here like LaToya because of her personality, and most of them don't think she's looks bad. So, I'd say that it's a minority of people who are saying what you're claiming. You're always going to have the nay-sayers though.

I've seen a fair few comments about it on here. Of course people will question her face when they first see her a) she's a Jackson and b) it isn't hard to guess she's had some stuff done. My point is, there are some people who are judging her because of the way she looks. ie not liking her because of her face.

If you are to judge someone in big brother on apperance you wont take in the good things they say once you decided you dislike them you will always be looking for the bad points which is really unfair because unless they done somthing really good dont think many people would change an opinion.

Well, there's always going to be "those people". Remember, LaToya is 52 years old. The 41-year-old Ulrika looks close to 50.

Why? because some people are narrow-minded and judgemental. Idon't care what a person looks like, as long as they are nice, Latoya is lovely.

I was watching the launch with my friend and after Mutya entered I was like "This is awesome, the housemates are fantastic! It's going to be really entertaining!". And she was like "I don't like them, they're so ugly!". It kind of annyoed me the way she wasn't willing to see what great value they could be just because they weren't Jessica Alba lookalikes.

Latoya is lovely. I admit, her nose is a bit strange, but that has never struck me as a reason to not like her. Infact, I like her a lot. I think she has a lot to give however shes a quiet person until she sets in.

Yeah her nose is strange looking, but she is a lovely women, and for me, looks are not everything.
