View Full Version : Kerry and Brian marriage crisis
POP star Brian McFadden was fighting to save his marriage last night after a string of rows with lonely wife Kerry.
The chart-topping singer flew home from a tour date for crisis talks with his I'm A Celebrity star missus.
Angry Kerry is fed up with not seeing her heart-throb husband because of his hectic touring schedule.
His career has taken off since he quit boy band Westlife in March and he hit No1 with first solo single Real To Me.
But that has meant he's hardly been at home with ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry and their two children Molly, three, and Lilly Sue, one.
As tensions between the couple grew, frustrated Kerry took the children back to her mother's home to seek support.
Last night Brian admitted the marriage was in difficulty. Asked about the situation, he said: "It's not right...it's not right."
A source close to the couple told the News of the World: "They're going through a rocky patch, there's no doubt about that.
"She felt that after he quit Westlife he would be at home with her and the kids like one big happy family. That hasn't happened.
"Kerry has been left close to tears over the fact that Brian is never at home. She's a very emotional person — as everyone who saw her on I'm A Celebrity probably realised for themselves."
Yesterday Brian jetted back from a performance in Sweden to talk things through with 24-year-old Kerry.
A friend revealed: "Brian wants to sort this out and so does Kerry. They have things to talk about and are determined to patch up what is a very strong and loving marriage."
Kerry has already forgiven Brian for a drunken romp with lap-dancer Amy Barker on his stag night, before the couple wed in January 2002.
The couple's spokesman, PR guru Max Clifford, said last night: "Yes, there have been a few problems, but they are getting it together and talking it through over this weekend.
"I'm sure everything will be resolved."

I do hope they sort their marriage out, they're a lovely couple and obviously in love. It must be so hard living in the public eye and trying to keep a normal happy family life.
Good luck to the pair of them!
I have every sympathy for Kerry and her daughters . . . . . but sorry, absolutely none for Mr McFadden.
He announced in a blaze of publicity that he was leaving Westlife to spend more time with his family . . . . . that lasted exactly four weeks!
Then he proceeded to launch himself as a solo artist, travelling all around Europe in the process, meaning he spent even MORE time away from the family he said he wanted to be with.
The fact that the odious Max Cliffold is mentioned in this article smacks more and more of a contrived publicity stunt to try and boost his solo career. It don't work with me.
Just feel so sorry for his family . . . .. .

Now that's what's real to him!
I am not a particular Kerry fan personally, and I have a strong suspicion that this is publicity/someone picking up an idea.
I mean where do all these 'friends' and 'sources close to the family' hang out?
If they are genuine, why are they ratting on friends and family, and why aren't they named?
If they are real and having their identity kept secret we must assume they are getting paid for the info.
As many, if not most of these sort of reports prove to be bogus, do they ask them for the money back again?

Oops, OK, so it looks as if this source close to the family was close to the family.............
Kerry and Brian: 'It's over'
9.00AM, Mon Sep 27 2004
I'm A Celebrity star Kerry McFadden's has split from former Westlife singer Brian, it has finally been confirmed.
Kerry is now said to be moving out of their home and looking for a family base in Warrington, Cheshire near her mother.
PR consultant Max Clifford, who represents the couple, said their future looks bleak with conflicting work schedules to blame for the split.
"They have been victims of their own success," he said. "Kerry's career took off after she won I'm a Celebrity, which has led to all kinds of job offers.
"And since Brian went solo and had a number one hit with his first single he has been on promotional tours and has not been at home."
"It's very sad," he said. "But you can't conduct a relationship over a mobile phone."
The split comes despite Brian leaving chart-toppers Westlife to spend more time with wife Kerry and daughters Molly, three, and 18-month-old Lily Sue

This is so sad.I never liked Kerry very much when she was on Loose Women but I thought she was brilliant when she did Iacgmoh.
the one thing that has always been obvious is how much she values her family life.
I hope they can work things out.

Its funny but I was watching a repeat of a Frank Skinner show from (I think) last year over the week-end and Kerry and Brian were on it. I remarked to OH how happy they looked and very much a couple and then what happens - they split.
I think Kerry obviously thought Brian was going to spend more time with her and the family (who mean everything to her probably because of the childhood she had) and he's off pursuing a solo career. I heard on the radio this morning that he had to be away because he needed to earn a living. Doh - just how much did he make from being in Westlife - they cant be on the breadline. Brian has to decide what comes first his family or fame. I just hope the success he has had with his first solo record hasnt gone to his head.

Think it's far too late for that, BusyBee - Mr McFathead is already a legend in his own mind. His first solo record wasn't even that successful - OK it got to No. 1, but sold less than 40,000 copies in the process.
This is a snippet from today's Sun:
Pop hunk :conf: Brian McFadden told last night how promoting his No. 1 single helped wreck his marriage. The former Westlife star was forced to tell wife Kerry: "I can't be here all the time. I have to work hard."
Now, if that's what he meant to do when he left Westlife, why on earth did he say he wanted to spend more time with his family? Blatant lie . . . . . and he even sings about it in his song!! Beggars belief. :nono:
The man's an a**e (pardon my French). I've every sympathy for Kerry and her girls.

Bryan has to realise Will Young he aint - and to decide what he wants a fleeting solo career or a happy home with a loving wife and two little ones.

I suspect something dramatic other than being 'p****d' off about being apart too much has happened here. Especially for both to be apparently totally resigned to it's being over. (According to the relationship woman on GMTV who has met with them both in the last couple of days).
Call me a cynic - but I suspect a third party may be involved and my guess would be involving Mr rather than Mrs.

They showed a newspaper article about it on Loose Women the other day that said he'd had an affair with another lap dancer. It could have just been the newspapers up to their usual tricks but the panel refused to comment and said only that they had collected an award on Kerry's behalf.
Its such a shame this has happened poor Kerry.

Oh dear, bad to worse on this it appears.
Still seems odd how they can go from Mr and Mrs perfect to this:
