Diva La Toya Jackson demanded a clause in her contract forbidding cameras from filming her without make-up in the morning.
Celebrity Big Brother chiefs refused – but softened the blow with a hefty £103,000 fee.
A source revealed: “It was a remarkable request. Big Brother is a 24/7 environment where everything is caught on film and the request was a bit much.
“La Toya is clearly very conscious of her appearance but producers couldn’t accommodate the request as it was a bit unfair to the other contestants to say the least.” The 52-year-old appears to have had extensive plastic surgery.
A picture taken of her and brother Michael in the 70s shows that her appearance has changed dramatically over the years.
The most obvious change is in her nose which looks much smaller and more tightly pinched. It’s almost identical to Michael’s after he had rhinoplasty in the 80s. A source added: “Not only does she look very similar to Michael – she even sounds like him with her squeaky, high-pitched voice.
However despite the make-up blow, La Toya HAS been afforded some special treatment by being allowed the pick of the rooms.
She has been given a private bedroom – but producers say that this was due to her being the first to enter the house.
The source added: “It should come as no surprise that La Toya is in one of the best rooms.
“Producers tried to suggest that the bedrooms were on a first-come, first-served basis but they were well aware that La Toya was going to be the first celebrity entering the Big Brother house.
“To suggest that this is a coincidence is a bit much.”
Some 5.6 million viewers saw Friday’s opening programme.
