I had no idea thats what it was called here. And I have been living here for 2 years, never realised it was called a hub. Does everyone use that? Cause I have a Irish flatmate, and he always says stove.
SO that adds to my UK vocabulary, along with Rubbish, hiring, sacking, cant think of more.

ITs reffering to this event:
La Toya: 'What is the hob?'
Day 8, 10:57 GMT
By Sarah Rollo
La Toya discovered what a hob is and how to operate one during a lesson in the kitchen with Tommy last night.
When Tommy asked her if she knows how to turn the hob on, the 52-year-old replied: "What's the hob?"
On entering the Big Brother house, she said she has lead a sheltered life and hoped to learn from the experience.
"It's on top of the oven, look," Tommy advised. "Oh right, that's it," his pupil replied.
Funny how these people try to make it sound like becasue she doesnt know what hob means, she is some sort of a weirdo. by ommiting the fact that she repeatedly asked tommy, do you mean Oven, which he replied, no, Hob.
ANd another funny thing, it was Tommy who asked Latoya how to use the hob, but apparently according to the article, she was getting a lesson. Another way to mislead people.
How can you not know what a hob is haha
The hob is the top bit where you boil stuff. It can be gas or electric.
