View Full Version : Token twists - pointless!

Before I get ranting just to say I do like the concept of tokens and thought it worked well in BB9, but the focus on them this time seems pointless.

What was the point in pricing them too high on the shopping list - we can't see in the showers so we're not going to see the housemates endure a cold shower. And with no live feed, we're not even going to hear it either.

At first I thought the point might be to let the HMs win them in tasks, which they have been doing - but then they're taking them away for any little (or major) misdemeanour's. OK, it may make them more crucial to the celebs time in the house, but really it's doing nothing for the viewer at all.

Its to get them annoyed and argue.. etc. the hot water will make them moan complain..etc.. so arguments arise..

Well put!

This CBB is just becoming a pointless excercise in attempts to stir up dissent. They need new Producers with IDEAS!:xyxwave:

I'm pissed that they're giving them so many. Maybe if they kept them as more of treat they would use them for something a little more interesting than hot water. Somebody get Verne some alcohol please.

No it's not.

I absolutely hate that they're taking the tokens away from the housemates, especially when Terry and Tina talked about nominations.

They went to the effort of moving and expanding the jail and yet the best punishment they can come up with is taking away tokens?

It would have been OK if they'd sent them to jail AND taken the tokens away, but it's a fundamental rule of Big Brother that you can't talk about nominations - and taking tokens away isn't a good enough punishment.

I think they're a good idea especially when they get taken away for rule breaking that always starts loads of arguements.

not only are the tokens overpriced at 25 pounds each, but then they get the chance to earn 3 of them for one task....ok thats 75 pounds worth of tokens if you win, and yet the weekly budget was only 60 pounds.

so are you telling me one task is more important than the weekly budget? because thats what it would have been had they got all 3 tokens....i understand that celebs get "better" treatment but come on, at least make them work for SOME things
