The online auditions are rubbish compared to how other countries have done it - it's just completely screwed up.

For all it's faults, BB Australia got it right last year with hundreds and hundreds of vids for viewers to vote and comment on - and though they were wrong to just select the top three and kick two out of the house 24 hours later, the actual audition process worked very well.

Brazil and Germany have also managed it too - so why can't C4? After all, they had an online audition site for Shipwrecked (the recently closed islandoo.com) which was excellent.
