Anna's New Show!

Anna Nolan has been appointed joint presenter of a new afternoon talktme show aptly called "The Afternoon Show".

It has a Today With Des and Mel vibe to it or a This Morning vibe but she is a ctually very good!

Its on Sky Digital but I think thats just in Ireland!

Anna Nolan, who first came to our attention as the Big Brother runner-up, has enjoyed very successful television times since. Her eponymous series 'Ask Anna' and her work on the last two series of ''Would You Believe' harnessed her natural empathy and ease on camera - proving a winning combination with audiences. She has just recorded a new series 'Anna In Wonderland' for BBC3 and has also co-presented two series of 'Closure' with Davina McCall for the same channel. She will also present a new 3-part series 'Drawing The Line' for RTÉ this Autumn

A Belfast hair salon has crowned a successful year by being asked to join the style team on rte's daily magazine programme, the afternoon show.

Hair by Harris Babat Sabino opened 12 months ago on the Stranmillis Road and its top stylists were delighted to be the first salon to work on the popular programme, fronted by former Big Brother star Anna Nolan.

The salon has also been asked to head up Wella Ireland's Style Council and last week stylists Bill Harris, Sharon Sabino and Michelle Babat showed off their skills at a massive cross-border hair show in Belfast.

Dublin was represented by hair salon Zoo, headed up by Shay Dempsey. Up to 200 stylists packed into the Odyssey's W5 to see the latest looks.

Kellie-Ann McKendry of Channel 4's Model Behaviour was one of the show's main models as well as turning her hand to choreographing the show.

The after-party got into full swing at the nearby Bambu Beach Club.

I never got into BB properly until BB3, but I liked Anna. She was funny and a genuinely nice person. I'm glad she's done well out of it.

I thought it was just on a break like most shows have.I checked the ratings ion text and it seemed to b ein the top 10 on rte quite a bit.:conf:
