I would assume most people have been away for holidays and some for business. I would suspect from your use of the word "really" that trips like that are not being included in definition of being away from home.
In my case the answer is a big yes, I have lived in the South East, North East, London, South Coast, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Yes I;ve been around Britain. In terms of holidays I've been to Spain, Australia, Japan, France, Italy, Malaysia, various American states, Ireland and Brazil.
I've been abroad a lot, but I don't really travel around in the UK that often, bar driving to places to catch flights or whatever or visiting family further north.

I've been away from Newcastle many a time but I really can not wait to go travelling. It just is something I am desperate to do. Travel the world lol.
But it's wierd a lot of people who live in Newcastle just stay in Newcastle and have gone no where else but that is something they are proud off which is just a completely different mind set to me.
I wanna move to Canada, Sweden or Scotland.
