Yesterday morning I got in a taxi and to my disgust he had Chris Moyles on the radio. He did this spoof of Evergreen by Will Young which was full of homophobic jokes. He really disgusts me.

And please no Moyles fans saying 'Oh but he's friends with Aled & Scott Mills'.

I don't like him because of what he said this morning/yesterday morning.

He was speaking about his appearence on 'Who Do You Think You Are?" and he said on his radio show that he didn't visit Aushwitz although many people do even if they dont know any Jew's.

When I type it, it doesn't really sound as offensive, but it was if you heard it...he said some other stuff too.

He is friends with Aled and Scott though.

I didn't hear it but is it possible it was meant to be Ironic? Because I doubt the beeb would let a serious homophobic song play after the sh*tstorm over Jonathon Ross.

It was really homophobic. It was blantantly making fun of gay people and to the one who said I was being sensitive, good to know your supporting homophobia.

He's a ridiculous, pathetic bully. I know. The way he acted with Nicola Roberts. On his radio show, from what I've heard, all his does it shout & I think to myself "I wonder if he knows how many people aren't laughing and he is just a prick".

I'm not, I just know when a joke is a joke. OK it might be offensive but I repeat its a joke. It isn't supposed to offend, it depends how you interpret it.

Comedians will pick up on anything to joke about - because that's what comedy is about. It depends on your tastes when it comes to that, but I think it's a bit of an overreaction to say he is homophobic when whatever he said on the radio is in the interests of entertainment. Comedians can make remarks that are verging on racist, homophobic, sexist etc. because they are hot topics that are just there for the taking. Rowan Atkinson even protested against Government legislation that would have meant comedians can't make jokes about anything -ist, so it's still legal, and I think people need to learn to take a joke a bit better and not jump on the P.C. bandwagon and call OFCOM when they feel offended.

Oh and just for the record, I'm not a Chris Moyles fan - just somebody who thinks it's about time the P.C. OFCOM brigade calmed down a little bit!

He speaks the truth! I'm not a huge fan but it obviously seemed to be quite ironic/edgy humour and it obviously wasn't that bad since it was allowed on the radio.

But almost everyone is discriminated against in some form or another, and there are a lot of discrimination groups. But its these groups which make jokes. Put a ban on making fun on these groups and theres not much left to laugh about.

Homophobia is not the same as racism. I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong or vice versa, because it's a matter of opinion and there's no definitive right or wrong on this kind of issue, but I think a lot of people fail to understand some types of humour, Chris Moyles' humour being an example - he is very tongue in cheek and rude - that's not because he's an evil person, but it's because that's what has made him famous. I can totally understand that people are offended by a parody of a Will Young, but these people are clearly not taking into account that not everybody will be offended and not everybody will understand your point of view.

He doesn't write the lyrics, comedy Dave does so he must be the homophobic
None of the team are homophobic and have even supported gays in the past.
They are making a joke of something, its comedy but its people like you who take it too seriously and complain who spoil things
It seems nobody can say anything which is the slightest bit offensive anymore.

I can see why it can cause offense to some people but the thing with Chris Moyles is he likes to shock and get headlines.

I can't believe some of you didn't know Scott was gay.. haha.. I thought that was public knowledge..

Anyway, getting back to the topic. If you don't like Chris Moyles then don't listen to him. I don't like Lee Evans, so I don't listen to him or watch him.

I appreciate you were in a taxi therefore had no choice, but if it offended you then you ought to have informed the driver and I'm sure he'd have switched off the radio.

I'm ****ing sick of the censorship which exists in this country already and the last thing we need is for comedians to tone down every single part of their acts just so that over-sensitive viewers/listeners don't get offended.

Jesus Christ, if Chris Moyles offends you then you'd better lock yourself away in a fluffy room filled with cotton wool and stay indoors for the rest of your life.

Man up, and take a joke ffs!

Incidentally, he makes jokes about Scottish people all the time and you don't hear me calling him racist.

To be fair I think Michael has a point.

If it wasn't offensive then he wouldn't be bothered by it and therefore this topic wouldn't be made.

Certain people react to it differently but not hearing what was said I can't really have an opinion.

BUT...
Because Chris Moyles has such distaste, was so nasty about Nicola Roberts and because 99% of the UK hate him then I'm sure it was probably unacceptable. Especially when he has such a high up role on radio y'know it's just not clever, he ain't a comedian and he ain't funny so he should just **** right off.

It's over-sensitivity. It's everywhere.
