If you've been watching the current series happening in Brazil, the entire house is made of glass. Everything is see through. No one has any privacy.
I think that that would be one cool idea.

Do you have any pics or screencaps of the Brazilian house?

So first, it's not the main house, it's a house where 4 'housemates' live and only one of them will enter the house.
And the house is simply a cube made of glass, no wall, it is located in a mall where everyone can see them.
Its been done before (BB7, kind of)
They want to do the complete opposite and move away from daft ideas and "OMGTHEHOUSEISTHESMALLESTITSEVERBEEN!!!!"

OMG!!!  Thats crazyyyy!!!!!:shocked::shocked:
I cant imagine how thats like. But they cant be themselves in that case really. They will be too self conscious. With the cameras, at least you forget about them.
They should do that twist over here, would definitely be an event on the scale of BB7's Golden Ticket providing the show got the ratings

That'd be funny if they did it on Piccadilly Circus lol

It wouldn't work here because we'd have idiots from the press coming along with big banners telling them they've been dumped or something.

I actually meant just a glass house. Not in the middle of a mall. I had no idea. :colour::tongue:

glass house yes but like just said the british press would spoil it with messages, unless it was in a secret location?

I'm going to actually say a definite no. Yes, it's a great twist - but we've seen enough extra housemates put into secret houses, which is basically what this is.
Fantastic idea, and as Tom (I think) mentioned ages ago, they should be hung in a box over the Thames all David Blaine like...
I would also like it if the WHOLE real house was made out of glass, it would make the program feel like an experiment again.

Yeah, the actual house being made of glass would be brilliant.

Though can you imagine if an enterprising bird decided to poop on it... ahhhh!

I agree with that, and unfortunately that means I'm against the main house being completely glass - that has to be one of the daftest ideas I've ever heard.
How would having a glass house make it feel like an experiment again? It would just feel like any other series of Big Brother, with the exception that the house is glass...

Way too look at everything 2D. Its an experiment to see what people do when they get absolutely no privacy. Camera's don't bother people too much because they forget, what the glass house entails is there is no escape your housemates see everything.
Or even better make the house just one room... oh my... now that would be entertaining. Imagine how irritated people would get after a week of spending the same room with someone. Never mind about 60 days!

Nah, wasn't me. I don't like the idea of them over a river. I think it should be in the middle of Trafalgar Square so it gets attacked by pidgeons and so its like a goldfish bowl (ie people can go right up to it)
But if they did have it over the river then they should have a removable bottom so they can easily dispose of the rejects :joker:

That one room idea would be horrible.
I love the idea of not the whole house being glass but just the glass cube in a shopping mall or sumin with a small number of housemates in it and the public votes how ever many to enter real house.
Also what people don't realise is that if the house was made entirely out of glass it would be very impractical. It isn't just the camera men in the camera runs. The camera men are in there too and some larger parts are used for storage. Also if it was all glass, how would they be able to set up tasks, secret rooms and how could the producers to "essential maintenance work"?

What I meant was the basic house walls on the outside, but all the inner walls are made out of glass, like separation walls. And there is special glass that have blinds built in or can go misty if they want to separate it for some reason such as setting up a task. But the idea of it being, if you are in the garden you can see people in the bedroom, or people in the bathroom can see the people in the living room.
Its just a fun concept.

You can usually see people in each room though. In most houses you can see from one end of the living area to the end of the garden.

Yeh but I am talking about taking it to the extremes, I don't like the idea of making them feel like they are living in the house. I want them to be on edge and getting paranoid!

Unless it was making it so the house is visible from the outside (but perhaps with two-way glass so those inside can't see people watching on), it's pointless.
I certainly don't want to see another the inside divided up by glass again - we've kind of had that to a certain extent with each house since BB5, and I'm bored of it now. Give the HMs some privacy and they're more likely to get up to things behind each others backs, and to put it bluntly, will be less concious about getting naked too!

would be great, but somebody somewhere will defo whimper about how the housemates have a higher risk of skin cancer as they cannot escape the glare of the sun, and the glass intensifys the uv rays. You know what people can be like, and how some must complain about everything. lol.
