Couldn't find a thread for the show in general, just one about Series 5.
Series 6 is reportedly coming to screen sometime in August, though it was supposed to be earlier. Can't wait
I have all 5 series on DVD...I can't stop watching them.
Favourite quotes? Characters? Episodes?
*prepares self for everyone to say "I don't like Peep Show" :(*

Mark: While we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright? It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own ****, dying at 43 with rotten teeth. And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on... **** off.

I watched an episode before because it starred Liz May Brice and I have to say it was the dullest piece of (it's not worthy of any detogatory word) I've ever watched. Dull is too much of an understatement.
Shaun

Who's Liz May Brice?
edit: Oh, she played Mark's school-friend who wanted to start an affair with him.
And...oh dear.

I did like Shameless when they had the original cast, but now it's kinda ****.

My best bit - was the way that Jeremy explains to Mark what an E is like.
(enid, yeah the first 3 seasons of shameless were great, now its just awful, and give the IT crowd another go, its better when you are used to it)

I really don't understand people that hate it - I can kinda appreciate people who don't love it, but a negative reaction? On what? David Mitchell's character is often criticised by haters - that he's too snobby or uppity; THAT'S THE ****ING POINT. He's a social re-tard [hyphenated because re-tard automatically corrects to "idiot". wtf?], countless plot stories have been relying on that.
It's sarcastic, it's cynical, it's intelligent and it's brilliant - a bit like me. Maybe that's why I don't fit in here much any more.

Although Mark gets criticised I still love him, Hilarious. You ever see where he's being harassed by the kids outside his apartment:joker:

Yess, Peep Show is back!
I'm going to be unpopular when I say this, but I think many people don't like Peep Show because it requires them to think.
Obviously, not everyone, some people just don't like it because it's not their cup of tea.

They should have said it was the last in the series though. I really hope we don't have to wait another full year for Series 7.

Peep Show's.....okay. I find it a bit pretentious but it's okay in small measures.
I have to admit, I won't be missing it now the current series has finished. The first season was absolute comedy gold, but it's been downhill since there.
Having the new series of the Thick of It on at weekends (which is still on top form) is more than enough to fill the void.

Unfortunately we can't reveal everything just yet, but there's a few little titbits we can give you - for example, Jeremy won't exactly have made good on his promise at the end of the last series to move out ("I don't think it would quite be Peep Show if Jez ever properly moved out of the flat," Webb told us) and will instead be "making a few pathetic attempts" to go solo throughout the new episodes.
Other storylines coming up include Mark paying for Jeremy to have therapy and Jeremy becoming an irresponsible life coach. Oh, and Peep Show won't be returning on November 9 as previously touted, but will instead be back at the end of the month. Yes, we give with one hand and take away with the other.

Looking forward to this but just noticed it's only a six episode series again, bit gutted about that. Would've preferred eight, could've treated us for the long wait :p
Shaun
21-11-2012, 02:14 AM
I think every series has been six hasn't it? Would be strange to buck the trend

Yeah, I guess. Just thought it'll be over before we know it :( suppose quality over quantity though.

I watched last week's episode twice in the end, it was that funny. The scene in the bunker with Mark and Super Hans had me in stitches.
Just caught up on tonight's, not as good but this storyline is shaping up quite nicely. It's an odd one though...but an interesting twist all the same.
