I know, it makes me laugh that we have a few inches of snow and it the biggest story of the week
I suppose more emphasis is on London and the south as its more rare to snow there than the north.

I agree, although when it snowed in Decemberish time, when Manchester completely shut down and there was crashes everywhere the news didn't shut up about it.
But that was only local, when it happens to london, it hits the news in the whole country... why?!
I could not care less if busses stop in London! Not our problem the council down south is rubbish at organizing gritters!

Thats what I mean- no problem with local news going on about it but is it really necessary for the national news to dedictate an entire half hour bulletin to the snow in the south like ITV just have?

not watched the tv news but the radio coverage has been bad enough with updates (which were just repeats of what had been said) every 15 minutes

It was like that about 2 years ago severe weather warning and that quite a few inches of snow are meant to come, things were being bought from supermarkets just before and we got what 2 inches or less..

Over here in Dublin they had a guy on the news saying it's dreadful the way some roads have been closed. what does he expect, they've had gritters here all day long. You'd swear the Irish Government planned this just so it would happen to him. Rant over!

Funiest thing about yesterday was, here in Glasgow, Scotland, the scottish news was on & the news reader was talking about the weather down south & say how bad it was, & then she went on to say, that here in Glasgow we wont see in & right behind her was a window with the snow chucking in it down:laugh2:
