You may remember that Christian Bale went nuts on the set of "Terminator Salvation" a few months back, threatening to stop production and beat some serious ass.
The incident was audiotaped, and it's amazing. It happened on the set after a director of photography accidentally ruined a scene by walking onto the set. Bale lost it, screaming, yelling and threatening to quit if the bosses didn't fire the dude.
Film execs sent the tape to the insurance company that insured the film in case Bale bailed.

Is that even him? Isn't Christian Bale welsh? He sounds very american there. If it is him then shame on him. He needs help.

Rumours that the audio is a ploy to get people intrested in the film, hearing that everywhere.

Yes but he doesn't have a welsh accent.

I think it's strange that the set is so quiet during this, there's ussually loads of people on a set surely there'd be people to talk him down?
^Maybe they were scared by him.

Possibly, but there's ussually like 20 or so people on a normal set, possibly a lot more for a blockbuster. I think what Salv said was right, it's a publicity stunt. after a shot ends there's ussually a lot of movement to prep the next scene or shot but there's none here plus I doubt if he's tantrum would be alowed to take up so much time.
Definately publicity I think.

Plus the voice, it sounds like an american trying to speak with a brittish accent. It's very fishy.

I get it.... because he's a major movie star, he cannot get fined or anything like that, for the way he spoke to this guy? If he worked a normal job and spoke to another person like this during work hours.... he would be fired. Okay the guy made a mistake and shouldn't have done what he did, but it's totally disgusting and unprofessional to act the way he has.

Christian Bale's apparent temper tantrum on the set of Terminator Salvation has become an internet phenomenon, reports Slash Film.
Audio of the British actor allegedly ranting at director of photography Shane Hurlbut for interrupting a key scene in the film was leaked online earlier this week.
In the four-minute verbal attack, Bale reportedly yells at Hurlbut: "I want you off the set! You p***k!... No, don't just be sorry! Think for one ******ing second! What the ****** are you doing? Are you professional or not?"
The tape ends with Bale telling the crew member: "Seriously, man, you and me, we're ******ing done professionally."
Website Despair.com has now released a T-shirt bearing the words 'Christian Bale And I Are Done Professionally', described as "the official tee for those who shan't be working together with him again".
Inspired by the audio, US punk band The Mae Shi recorded a song based around the on-set clash less than 24 hours after it surfaced online. The track, titled 'R U Professional', features the lyrics "Don't look too deep in his eyes/he can't hide what's inside of his mind/and it might get a little bit ugly/and you might meet an American Psycho".
UGO.com, meanwhile, has created a Bale Soundboard, splitting up the audio to allow users to replay phrases from the tirade.

This is just a perfect example of a bad actor... this everything an actor shouldn't do. I hope he gets no more work if I am honest, there are people out there that will 1 do his job better and 2 appreciate where they are.

Christian Bale has made a public apology for losing his temper on the set of Terminator: Salvation.
The actor came under fire earlier this week after an audio recording of him ranting at a crewmember was leaked online.
The incident occurred after the worker walked into his eyeline during a take while filming for the movie was taking place last summer.
Speaking about the row in an interview with Los Angeles radio station KROQ, Bale admitted that he "acted like a punk".
"I was out of order beyond belief," he continued. "I make no excuses for it."
Bale revealed that he has been hurt by some of the criticism which has been directed towards him in recent days.
"The thing that disturbs me so much is that I've heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think that I'm better than anybody else," he explained. "Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a very lucky and that is why I put so much into what I do, and why I care so much about it and why sometimes my enthusiasm just goes awry."
He also insisted that the situation was resolved soon afterwards and there is now "no problem whatsoever".
