What would you do if someone intruded your house....

..and started assulting you, ( please be serious).

I would probably try and fight them, but it they were stronger than me i would get something heavy and hit them, really hard. How ever apparently if you go too far in hurting them you could get arrested too? I think thats an absoulte shity law because there the one who attacked you in the first place.
I remember talking about this in english and a farmer was arrested because someone was stealing from him and then tried to attack him so he got out a gun and shot him, the person died but is it fair the farmer was arrested??? ( I don't remember if this was true or not but do you think its fair? )

Anyway what would you do if you were at home all happy watching your favouite film and someone came into your house and assulted you?? Would you care about what could happen to you??

I think it depends on you. If I was a 14 year old and it was a 40 year old man - I'd be helpless I'd try and grab any object I could.

Me personally, being 18 and a male I could probably take a 40 year old man, to a certain degree. I'd certainly never give up and try and hit them with objects and things.

Take some self defence classes :thumbs: I think most communities have self defence classes set up for women anyway, they probably just aren't well advertised.

Someone holding a bat is far from your worst scenario, especially if they are holding it two handed (which they probably would be)

If all else fails, it only takes a few seconds of choking someone to knock them out for a minute or so, more than enough time to tie them up and call the police :angel:

When I lived on my own, I slept with a very large carving knife under my bed, incase anyone broke in. Im not ashamed to say I would have used it had someone attacked me...thats what it was there for.

Now I'm a lot more confident, and could probably take most people when I get wound up. But the dog also sleeps in the room with me and gav, so if for some reason gav didnt wake up or whatever, the dog would have its go...even when me and gav playfight, as soon as he touches me, the dog goes for him...unless I tell it no...so yeah, Im pretty well protected at the minute. :hugesmile:

Happened to me before a few years back actually, one morning while I was in bed instead of being at college. Everyone has a right to defend themselves. I can't imagine how scary it must be to find someone in your own home - with no idea of what their intentions are. You would be in a state of fear - and if you over-reacted - should not be held accountable - as you would not have been in a right state of mind.

If people break into people's homes, scaring the hell out of them - that is a risk they take as far as I am concerned.

I take the view that in the end - I would rather be in trouble with the police - than dead.

If ever I heard a noise, and I've done this in the past, I grab my deodorant so that if they came up to me I'd spray them in the eyes.

Probably the most quick + effective thing in my room. Then after that you could pretty much do what you want with them.

It's hard to say what you'd do now as things happen in the heat of the moment. If I was home alone and was confronted I'd think even though I'm 19 and 6"2, I'd kick him in the balls first and ,if needed, fight him off afterwards.
