You die, get buried and then rot OR you die, get burnt. I don't think there is any afterlife, heaven, hell or purgatory.

We stick around on earth as like a spirit. Hard to explain, watch Sixth Sense and then you'll see what I mean.

Or re-incarnation.

Yeah, I never wasn't sure, but then a really 'macho' man who wouldnt believe in that stuff nearly chocked to death LOL and was saying how he saw a light, and everything seemed really peacefull.

I think there is something, if we rot and die then what? We just, aren't there?

Oh I have NO clue.

I think that when you die, you die, end.

Although I would like it to be like an afterlife where you can relive ceratin memories, theres no chance of that being the afterlife.

Maybe we're living in the afterlife right now, but we're not realising it?

I sometimes think that lol. I think its because like quite often i have a dream i am being attacked and no matter how hard i try to fight back i am barley hitting this person at all lol x

Tbh, I haven't got an opinion on this, its impossible to answer unless you have died and come back, which still doesn't explain it all.

We could also just be on a loop. So when you die, you just start your life over again.

No that would just be reincarnation I think.

I mean you die, and then are born again but as the same person, and then you live your life again.

Which would also kinda explain deja-vu's.

I'm really on the fence with this one because it sounds ridiculous. But I've seen things and experienced things that can't really be explained any other way, and other stories too ...

I think there is definitely something

They dispose of our body

Read our will, pay death duties, split up the rest of our estate, have some kind of service with nibbles and drinks afterwards and then move on with their lives.

I think theres nothing, this is all you get. Many people believe in life after death in whatever form they choose to believe, some fall back on religion and draw comfort from whatever God they worship, and it gives them comfort. whatever happens after death we wont know untll we find out first hand ,and i dont know of anyone ever coming back to let us know, and answering the burning question,Heaven :angel:or Hell

I believe there are two different ways of looking at this. Nothing does happen when you die...well, not your body anyway. Your spirit, however joins one of the many angels in heaven. Your spirit leaves your body, and therefore...nothing really happens to your body - but your spirit...it's a little different

I think nothing happens, there is no afterlife or anything life that, its just nothing and thats why i'm not scared of death
I think all the stupid theories about what does happen were just made up to make death seem better than it actually is

Some claim that our soul goes to heaven or hell to get rewarded or punished. Now if its to get punished, how would it work given that the soul is supposed to be immaterial?

I get deja-vu's all the time, it could be true. But I think that its just empty up there, I would love there to be an afterlife, but as Fom said no one would know unless you die and then happen to come back.

I would refer you to Luke 16:19-31 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2016:19-31;&version=31;)

19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.

20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores

21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

23 In hell,[a] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.

24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

a Luke 16:23 Greek Hades

I hope that answers that question

I think, whatever you think will happen, happens..like if you think heaven exsits (sp) and is all white clouds and angels, then it will be like that.

Nothing hopefully............its just nothing, blackness, you cease to excist. its just like going to sleep.......one would imagine.

Basically you stop breathing in oxygen and then your heart cant pump blood anymore and your body gets rather chilly and then thats it really. Your dead.

i'd like to believe you get what you deserve and so would depend on how you are in life, whether we've been good or bad.i can think of a few people i've met during my life that deserve to burn in hell and loads and loads of lovely people that i'd like to think would live forever in the beauty of heaven, playing harps whilst sitting on fluffy clouds

I had a weird thought that when you die you just start your original life all over again without memory of this one.
