BIG Brother star Darnell Swallow faces jail after being investigated for housing benefit fraud.

The 27-year-old, who came fifth in last year’s series, is being quizzed by officials after claiming he did not make a penny out of his TV appearance.


Officers at North London’s Islington Council also investigated X Factor winner Alexandra Burke’s mother Melissa Bell. Housing benefit fraud carries a maximum jail term of seven years.


Albino Darnell said: “When I left Big Brother everyone else was getting magazine deals but I couldn’t get an agent so I didn’t get a penny.”


He could also become homeless after failing to pay his rent to a housing association.

Omg! I'm so thick.. when I read the title I thought that Darnell was rapping at some benifit concert for like poor kids LMFAO.

hya i messaged darnell about this and he gave me this reply

I am under investigation but it is because I applied for benefits not for recievimg them. The story I sent to the sun was a four page story that they horribly summed up without getting the message accross about what has happened to me since bb and why I claimed for benefits and why I am being investigated. Anyway I will give u the story to post sometime this week.

So what i make of that is he has probably tried to claim a certain benefit and is probably now under investigation as to how munch money he has made since big brother, as the amount of money you have affects the amount of benefit you are entitled to.
