What are your views on Abortion?
Damaris

You have 1 hour to debate.
I am pro choice however I don't think that anyone should have an abortion just because they don't want the baby.
there are plenty of couples that would die for the chance to have a baby!!

I'm on the fence.
Personally I could never ever have an abortion,I don't see how anyone could.
The people who do have one for reasons like they're not finacially secure or emotionally ready for a baby,or if they were raped and got pregnant I can understand. It is up the mother as it is a life-chancing choice to have a baby.
But it is a human being and the decision to have an abortion shouldn't be taken lightly.

I am pro choice for abortion as I dont feel as though someone should be forced to have a baby against their will. They might not be emotionally ready - it may drive them into depression if they are not mentally ready either.
What about rape victims who fall pregnant? a constant reminder of a really bad experience in your life.
No thanks

I'm very much Pro Choice. It's up to the person and them alone if they want an abortion, If they want an abortion they should be allowed the choice. I don't think they should be judged for whatever they choose.

Sick. The mother is just as bad though, she's twice the size of him! Children shouldn't be having children. In that Sun video he didn't know what finacially was and she was winding the baby by holding her by the neck! Jesus,it's not a baby, she's a human being who needs proper looking after!

13 year old father.
Dear lord. Where to begin! First of all. I havent ever met a 13 yr old who has had sex. Never mind a 13 year old who looks like him! he seriously looks about 6! which really disturbs me cos its like omg hes a wee kiddy himself and hes got some poor lassie up the duff bag!!
he is not even going to be able to get a proper job for another THREE years to support it so its going to be the state that are looking after YET ANOTHER baby from a teenage pregnancy!
As for the mother of this very much unwanted baby - why would she go through with having this child?? and then now we find out that it might not even be his!
And when i seen that interview of his and he was like "what does financially mean" i was like oh dear lord! i always have kinda knew what that word meant. what are they teaching kids these days? clearly not english! or sex education for that matter.

Pretty sick, just thinking about a 12 yr old having sex is horrible. He hasn't got the maturity or resposibilty to be a father to the child. The baby will end up going into care at this rate.

I think it's disgraceful. I think it speaks volumes about the state of Britain. There's not enough sex Education about early enough. I think the girl in particular is vile, how could anyone sleep with a boy that looks so young?

What are your views on knife crime?,Has it been exagerated?
I don't think its been exagerated at all. Hearing about all the people getting stabbed. I think the thing that is wrong is how the government thinks they can stop it. I'm sure people get away with stabbing people.
knife crime has not been exagerated at all!!!
The stats speak for themselves!!
knife crime has risen so much in the last few years.
lots of the victims are innocent aswell :(
people shouldn't carry knives!!
Princess

No it hasn't been exgerrated,it's not exactly a small matter, people getting stabbed by scum should be dealt with more properly(ok bad english)

I really hate Knife crime and I blame people like 50 cent and other 'gangster rappers' as teen gangs weren't as much as a problem as they are now until that type of music became popular. That kind of lifestyle is glamourised too much.

Does music create problems withen society? (Based upon Dezzys point.)
Tom4784
21-02-2009, 06:10 PM
In most cases no, I do think some can and do though, for example certain rap music. Thee thing is real life inspires more then fiction, if we saw someone killed in a film or game we would be unaffected as we knew it wasn't real. However gangster rappers like 50 cent rap about their own 'life experiences' and I think this inspires idiotic people to go out and commit crime since the gangster rappers are 'obviously' a sign that a life of crime pays.

Music should make people happy, make them cry, make them go to another world,an escape from reality. Music does more good than harm,a lot more good. I doubt many people hear 50 Cent or whoever and go 'Oh I'm going to go stab someone now'.

Does TV do enough to stop knife crime?
music doesn't create problems in society!
However, the people who sing/rap/whatever do(well some of them)
Take Nadine Coyle for example....she's in the music business therefore she is in the public eye and has alot of fans, some of whom are young girls.
I think that Nadine sets such a bad example to her young fans.
For god sake she looks like a twig!!
Eat a sandwich or something!!!!
also rappers set really bad examples!!

It's not up to TV,it's up to the government. But I wouldn't know,I don't follow polictics and have a different government than most of you.

So are the goverment doing a bad job?
MrGaryy
21-02-2009, 06:16 PM
I don't think TV should have to do much to help. It's more down to parents and schools - who do not do near enough.
Kids need to be taught of the dangers of knife crime but schools atm seem to prefer to skim over it with a brief mention.

I'm not sure, I mean what can they do? Its the attitude that people have. Nothing the government say is going to stop knifecrime.

Mambo these questions are coming too fast no one gets a chance to DEBATE. Right now people are just stating their opinions.

Also not to be a downer, but opening the poll before the debate started completely defeeated the point of the task as blatantly people voted before they got a chance to see the whole debate.
