This has been allowed by James - I need your initital thoughts, feedback and a idea of a name, and hopefully a graphic.

Introduction
Basically, this is a one stop thread for all TiBB Games. Here all of the games that have been or will be on TiBB this year will be listed, this will allow the games to hopefully be more evenly distributed.

Also, for the first time ever on TiBB a universal point system will be braught in. This means that ALL games which have been confirmed by James will earn the forum members points. The amount of points earned depend on the type of game, and where you finished in the game. Members also gain points for helping out on the forum - for example, making graphics or writing articles.

All of these points will be posted at the top of the thread, and at the end of this year, members who have over a certain amount of points will qualify for a 'Gold' award, and possibly there will also be a 'Silver' and 'Bronze' award.

Let me know your thoughts, and I will make the official thread soon when I get some feedback.

Honestly I'm not too keen on it. The idea of a points system has various issues attached and the thread for games was attempted last October but didn't work out in the end.

But never the less, I'll give it a go, see how it turns out.

Like i don't get it - what are the point of points? Can we use them for something?

I completely agree. There's enough trouble with Karma without having a points system too.

You don't really get anything, unless at the end of the year you achieve over a certain amount of points. I guess the aim of it is to tie all TiBB games together, and to encourage people to do stuff for the forum. It's not added to your profile, it's simply just some fun.

The points system would be more 'moderated' than karma though. Members wouldn't be awarded or deducted points for no reason like on karma.

They'd actually have to do something good to achieve them.

Aren't they already tied together though? Most of the people that win games or do stuff for the forum simply get forum awards - isn't this good enough without having to bring the points element into it?
