Meanwhile, Jade – who spoke to OK! magazine about her wedding – has been voted the world’s third most respected person for her courage in her battle.

Barack Obama topped the OnePoll.com survey of 4,000 Brits with Nelson Mandela in second place.

A OnePoll spokesman said: “Her plight’s awful but she’s won the admiration of many for the way she’s coping.

What about the other millions of sick people from cancer ? Like Jade hasn't done anything to be as respected as Barack and Nelson. I mean this isn't right, she hasn't done anything for the world but ridiculing herself in front of millions of viewers, there are thousands of people who deserve this place more than her.

She has used her celebrity status to raise the awareness in cervical cancer, which has seen a increase in the number of women who want to get tested and has started a campaign to lower the age limit for young girls who should be allowed to get tested.

Jade knows she isn't the only woman in the world with cancer but she is dealing with it in her own way. She's trying to get enough money for her sons for when they grow up. And if her shows and the way she is dealing with it can save just one person surely that is worth all of it - and deserves a hell of a lot of respect.

So because she is a celebrity, she has to be more respected than someone else who suffers from cancer ? I don't think so, in my opinion anyway.
The fact she uses her celebrity status for helping people to get tested is great and should be done further and further but that still doesn't mean she deserves being '3rd most respected person in the world'.
A lot more people have done more and better for the world.
I basically agree with you, she deserves respect and she is right to do it for her kids but I'm only saying she doesn't deserve to be ranked so high.

I basically agree with you, she deserves respect and she is right to do it for her kids but I'm only saying she doesn't deserve to be ranked so high.

A survey of 4,000 people put her in third place - I mean I think if this survey was done in 10 years time would she still be so high, not a chance. She is fresh in people minds atm and the work she is doing and her battle with cancer is all over the news.

Jackie i did at first.

1) She came out from nowhere with no talent to make the most of an opportunity.
2) She made it possible to believe anyone could do anything.

3) She raised awareness of cancer research.

its what happened at 2 before 3, when she was supposed to be working for an anti bullying charity (they dropped her) and she went on tv and showed a side of her I wish I'd never seen or known about - pure hatred with arms in the air shoutin out f popawala at someone of colour and getting others to join her gangin up against that person...

Spoiled it for me. I couldnt ever use her perfume which i bought again and i had to ask myself, why was i taken in in the first place?

but, i do think that their are millions who are going through cancer, and we should respect her for they way she took to viewers and became popular, as she is the same as everyone else when it came to the cancer issue.
