Jade Goody's dream of being christened with sons is put on holdJade Goody’s dream of being christened with her sons was put on hold last night because she is too weak to attend.

The ceremony was planned for tomorrow but cancer-stricken Jade, 27, who has been told she has weeks to live, was “too frail” to move from her hospital room in West London.

She had hoped to see her boys Bobby Jack, five, and Freddy, four, christened with her in church.

A source close to the family said: “Jade wanted a church ceremony followed by a big reception for 50 guests back at her house.

“We hoped Jade would say, ‘OK, let’s do it on Saturday’, but all she wants to do is sleep and rest and everyone is giving her space.

“If she rallies a little bit they may be able to do it in the next couple of weeks.” Jade is understood to be considering holding the christening at home in Essex or even at her bed at the Royal Marsden if necessary.

She has been heavily sedated since a bowel op on Monday to relieve pain.

A source said: “She now needs a bit of time to recuperate. But she is determined to go home as soon as she is feeling a bit stronger.”

Because it is a Big Brother forum and although I'm no Jade Goody fan it is in the news.

Personally I think it is time for her spend time with her family and give the press a rest, but that is not happening, and because I believe in freedom of speech I can post what I like if it is within the rules of the site.

I don't understand why people keep criticising Red Moon for posting news articles. Ever heard of "don't shoot the messenger"?

This is a Big Brother forum. And since all Jade Goody-cancer-threads so far have had a lot of discussion, it only makes sense to continue updating the users.

I personally can't be bothered to trawl through various websites for updates, and it's easier to get them this way, and for that I think Red's doing a good job.

well...I don't think AMA saying you are annoying and your posts are creepy in the least qualifies as "insulting other members".... it's an opinion.
anyway... my point is we don't need a "messenger" ... we have the internet and can access all this drivel ourselves. Thanks. It would be different if you posted an article and then commented immediately after it with an opinion but you don't.

What ever.... It's a horrible way to watch some one die. For all of Jade faults she doesn't deserve to die at 27 like this. Nobody does.

Is it wrong that it is in the press because she has sold her story, probably yes but then again if she saves one life because of what she has done is not that a good thing?

My Mother died because they stop breast cancer screening at 65. Is not right that cancer screening be available to people of all ages?

BTW I take it as a personal insult that you judged my feelings about my Mothers death.

ange7... I'm not meaning to patronise you, but do you understand the format of the big brother sections of this website? When someone posts a topic in them, they go on the front page of the actual website, not the forum.

(i.e. www.thisisbigbrother.com).

Therefore, it's a longstanding format that we post news stories with a link in here, so they go to the front page for visitors to read and catch up on news of things BB-related... that is all Red is doing.

I didn't mention your mother nor did I judge you any where based on her. The "???????" referred to the relevance of your mums death regarding your ban on ama. again like I said I'm not trying to interfere with he's "right" ( lol) to post his jade threads.... I'm interested in why he does...and how he just post an article sans comment. We have the internet...it not like info on jade is hard to find. hehe. Later the thread turned into why he banned ama for no good reason except thinking the red was "annoying" and his repeated posts "creepy".

The old BB sections of this forum are designed so everyone can post media-stories about past series' and their housemates. Granted, this story is more publicised than say Cameron BB4 losing his big V or something equally trivial - but the sites objective in terms of past series is to direct attention to media publications of news etc.

Edit: Btw my point has nothing to do with the banning on AMA. In my opinion, he insulted a member, which is against the rules. Not considering context.

Admittedly I didn't read the comment before edit, but it's been said it called Red 'creepy' ? That's an insult towards another member, which shouldn't be tolerated despite the context or member status. If I misunderstood the comment since I didn't read it first time around, please let me know.
