Help, I can't open a game I bought! [Solved]

I just bought the Grey's Anatomy video game for the Wii from HMV and I've just been to pick it up and I can't open it. :sad: When I try opening the cover it won't let me because there is like a square brown block wedged in. I tried pushing it but it didn't work. I was going to try and scrape it out with something sharp but it'll break the cover. This is so annoying!

Note: I'm referring to the game packaging.

Wait till they're back? It must open somehow. "Examine" the whole packaging and see if theres anyway to open it.

If I opened like you normally opened games though, it'd snap in two. It's really annoying me now, I just tried using a screwdriver to wedge it out but it's just damaging the case.

HMV is a bit fussy with returns if the condition is bad.

Haha. Stupid HMV that's a security tag. It's not a block it's a big long stick like thing. We have them on DVDs and CD's in work - they need to take it out when you purchase it. You need to take it to the shop for them to take it out.

I just realized they had left something on the game, lol. I managed to open the game and pull it off but I'm not happy because then it took about 5 minutes to pull the disc out, there was a security strip underneath it. I'm phoning HMV tomorrow for compensation.

Check your game isn't scratched; sometimes they scrape it. You wanted it so bad aswell :hugesmile:
