It seems all the Southerners couldn't live in the south and the Northerners couldn't live in the South *shrugs* I adore Manchester but I've only been twice and I was much more excited that the city had gone Take That crazy than anything else.

it depends where you stay. if you stay in travel lodge or premier inn you can get some good deals

but if your gonna stay in somthing lik the Four Seasons at Hyde Park which is like sooooooo amazing btw i could so live there. but its like £400 a night. Well its gonna prove expensive then.

What has Manchester gone back on? And have you seen the changes that have happened up here in the past few years or so? I wouldn't exactly call it going back.

yeah, since the explosions 10 years ago the city has changed amazing, new shopping centers, new gardens, fantastic new buildings (Urbis, Beetham Etc) I do love manchester, and I love how big it is getting, and the different sides to it, from the gay village to the shopping center to the locks.

I like London in small doses. The city itself is amazing but some people are always in such a hurry and can be rude and miserable (But I'm sure you get people like that in EVERY city! haha)

Im moving 40 minutes outside of London in September, so the real test of how much I like london will come into play then as I will be spending a lot of time in the capital.

London I suspect is great.
I'm 16 and have never been.
I just love all the buildings and the bustle of everything, for you Londoner's noise must be normal.

See, I'm from the North (Near Durham/Newcastle) and its so much more quiet. My town is like 50% fields and hills, and don't get me wrong, I love my town because I think thats what people miss in London. My town is like a horse-shoe shape. So, if I'm at the Headland, I can see Seaton Carew, vice versa. There's a massive golf course and big sand dune hills, where when you stand at the top you can see my whole town. I just love things like that, and you don't get that peacefullness and calmness in London, or I wouldn't think you do.

Very true, that's what I love about Manchester, it has its big city center like london... but a little further out and there are hills everywhere, there is one hill near my work and you can see from where you are all up to the city center... which is about an hour drive away, its huge.
