http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1162888/Im-Single-mother-abandons-moaning-children-flies-sunshine-holiday.html

A single mother jetted off to Spain for a holiday
on her own - because she was fed-up
with her children moaning, a court heard today.
The runaway single parent left
her daughters aged 11 and 14 home alone
with £30 for food and said: 'I'm off.'

This is so Typical of Evil Single Mothers.

"The mother, 38, returned from Malaga
five days later to find that police
were waiting for her at the airport."

"The mother, of Pontypridd, South Wales,
was released on bail to be sentenced
at Cardiff Crown Court next month."

Will she get a Fine?

:nono: not all single mothers are like that i am the complete opposite i actually go without things just so my daughter wants for nothing i wouldnt ever in a million years of doing like that woman has done you either get a babysitter such as family member take the kids with or just dont go
she isnt fit to be called a mother

Only £30? Should have been £50, kids would have been happy then..

*Oh and can James or Mark please remove my warning, it has been 3 months.. Thanks.*

Yeh I agree. I am sorry but If she was fed up, then she could just take the kids on holiday with her! If she was fed up of her children then why did she even have any?

as a mum more so a single mum i have days where i just have enough but the point is i'm a mum thats where my responsibilty lies just cos they were whining she leaves them to fend for themselves so she can go sun herself not exactly the actions of a good mum every parent has days where the kids whinge too much play up whatever but you just get on with it

I called her a Evil Single Mother

in this New Labour Depression.

ffs its nothing to do with being in a recession not depression its down to parenting styles and the difference between good and bad parents remember madaline maccans parents left her and her siblings alone in the holiday place and that was before the recession so its not even just single parents

She had enough of it all
and became Evil
by leaving her kids Alone.

"The woman, who cannot be named
to protect her daughters,
rang her own mother after five
days in Spain when she used up her £100 spending money.
The court heard she asked for financial help to pay
for a flight back home - and jetted back to face the music"

And She Ran out of Money

but its not just single mums there has been many a story before the recession so cant see how you have to keep linking it of parents both single and couples males and females well off and poor who have done exactly the same its all down to those who are good parents and those who are not this woman comes under the those who are not
as i said you find me a parent regardless of if they single or in a couple (cos its also nothing to do with her being a single mum) who hasnt had at some point of being a parent had a day week whatever where they have had enough where they think i want some freedom away from this i know all my friends who have kids have had days where they want to walk away but they dont same as i havent cos they are good parents who know that its part and parcel of being a parent you have to except the bad days are gonna happen

Or stay with other members of the extended family, I do suspect she will get a custodial sentence.

Yeah given that the two kids are 11 and 14 maybe the courts will grant legal rights for them to stay with extended family, but then again thats pending any review about the family..

I wish my parents went on holidays and left me and my sister alone with €200 when I was 14. It would have been awesome.
They went on holidays leaving us alone when I was 16. I'm not that traumatised lol

But yeah, 11 is a bit young I guess but I can understand why she has done it. I mean, kids are tiresome, she needed a break. But that's not an excuse.

If it was a breakdown, then she was suffering mental illness.

I am not excusing anything only trying to understand what happened.

BTW I think the lower limit is 16 to be left on your own.

from my experience of people who are suffering mental illness and thus having a breakdown a jolly holiday abroad is the last thing on the mind had it been a breakdown i'm sure the story would have said about there being concerns for her mental state its not like she just up and left she left money for them which to me says planned cos surely a breakdown she would have just disappeared
as has been said its not the first and wont be the last instance of it
