From the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7952317.stm)
Google has launched the UK version of its Street View service, which allows users to browse a selection of pictures taken along city streets.
Street scenes in 25 UK cities from Aberdeen to Southampton can be viewed using the service.
The Netherlands version of the service also launched on Thursday, bringing the number of countries covered to nine.
The imagery available comprises video taken along 22,369 miles of UK streets by customised camera cars.
Anyone feel uneasy about this probable violation of privacy?

They claim you can not see inside windows.
And you can contact Google if they have failed
on something.

Er it's only some streets? I look outside my window I can see the same thing.
These pictures must have been taken a while ago, I found my house and my bedroom is at the front of the house, and in street-view I have curtains up. I took down my curtains about 8 months ago and changed them for blinds, so it shows how old some of these images must be.
I like it though :cat:

My friend is in one of the pictures haha, he saw the weird car thingy going around though - and his face is blurry on the pic.

Go on Google Earth and there should be some camera image over certain parts of the UK. Click on them and it'll put you into street view.

I have been going through this again, around where I live and have been finding more number plates and faces not blurred. I have also been reporting them.
Looks like I will be getting a reputation
