The Cleveland Show (Family Guy spin-off)

The Cleveland Show is an upcoming spin-off of Family Guy centering around Cleveland Brown.

The show sees Cleveland (Mike Henry) move from Rhode Island to Virginia with his wife and high school sweetheart, Donna (Sanaa Lathan), her teenage daughter Roberta (Nia Long), and her five-year-old son Rallo (Mike Henry), as well as his own son Cleveland Jr (Kevin Michael Richardson).

Once he arrives, he is greeted by his new neighbours, including a redneck couple, an English family, a 'hipster wannabe' named Holt (Jason Sudeikis), and family of bears, featuring husband Tim (Seth MacFarlane) and wife Arianna (Arianna Huffington).

Kanye West is set to guest star in one episode as 'Kenny West'.

It is scheduled to begin on FOX later this year. E4 has picked up the rights to air it in the UK.

What do you think - does it sound great, or are the writers/creators wasting their time?

I agree, I don't see how it'll be any different from FG/American Dad.

I'm slightly surprised E4 got the UK rights - I was expecting BBC Three to buy them.

They picked the wrong character to give a spin off I think, I'm not really understanding why they've done this..

Out of all the characters... Cleveland?? If they wanted to do a spin off it should have been about the gay guy who always becomes a bee or a shark or something, Tobi I think his name is. Hes so funny!

Best bit is when he holds the seance to get Stewie back from the ghosts. "Hey y'all ghosts, how you doin'? Y'all got one of our friends, Stewie there. Well I hardly see how that's anyone's business but my own. Well you and my father can just carry on agreeing with each other!"

I like this idea...I'll give it a chance. I'd have hated a Quagmire/Joe spinoff...they irritate me.
