Bug in the forum, an unpublished feature or an open challange..?

On the front page, it appears that posts have been made in announcements and General Discussion, yet when one goes inside the forums, the posts seem to magically disappear!

Is this a bug, or is it a symptom of poorly implemented hiddeb subforums? It's most frustrating when you think there's a new post!

Thanks to whoever changed the secret hidden forum from a child to a parent forum. No longer do I click when I think there's a new post, only to be disappointed!
