Because of all the press attention on Jade over the last few months and therefore Big Brother with past clips of BB3 and CBB5 being shown could it boost interest in this years Big Brother and its ratings
The producers could really play on her death and have a black eye logo in respect for Jade for example which would create press attention and maybe get people watching.
Maybe Jades death could save Big Brother

Well i wouldnt say, but if they do a tribute to her on launch, maybe a few more people might tune in(which i hope they do a tribute). I think it could do the opposite actually.

Because Jade is is the limelight, more people would want to find a altenative 'Jade'

The thought of them dedicating the series to her in anyway more than a simple slide at the end of the launch show is despicable, especially as her actions have played a large part in 300 or so people facing the prospect of losing their jobs at the end of the series.

Big Brother producers have vowed to pay tribute to Jade Goody when the show returns for its tenth series this summer, a report claims.

Goody, who died following a battle with cancer today, became an overnight star after appearing on the Channel 4 reality show in 2002.

An insider told the News Of The World: "Jade was Big Brother. She completely embodied the show.

"This series is a milestone for the show, reaching the decade, so it will be made in tribute to Jade. The series is dedicated to her."

The programme's host Davina McCall is expected to speak about her memories of Goody in the live launch episode. A tribute video of the star's best moments on the show is also likely to feature.

The Big Brother source added: "We have all looked on in horror at what was happening to [Jade] after she became ill. Our biggest star, our only real star, faded in front of our eyes.

"We cannot deny Jade's importance to Big Brother and we definitely can't deny how much she meant to our viewers. They genuinely loved her and so did we."

Goody was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in August last year. The disease later spread to her liver, bowel and groin.

Looks like the producers may use this tragedy to their advantage.

I really hope that they have a sympathetic audience on that night! If audiences are like usual, i expect booing when Davina is talking about her, Just because some people really disliked her

i hope they don't overplay it in BB10, maybe a 5 minute tribute at the beginning of the live launch, and then getting back to what this series is meant to be about. The 10th Anniversary of BB!!

I think a little video clip at the beginning of the launch is fine nothing more. Just something short and simple.

true, i agree, as long as the producers don't make the whole show morbid and just do a small tribute, make the launch night really interesting , they may gain back some persistant viewers

to use jades death to make bb10 a success is low and sick, she had fans, and enemys that should never change now shes not with us anymore.there are 1000 of people who die of cancer, just because she was in the public eye doesent mean people should change there views and put her on some peddlestall,im sorry but thats my views
rest in piece jade goody

If the press speculate about a tribute, then yes, most likely the launch will be boosted. Combined with them playing on the fact it's the 10th year they could hit 6 million, though I doubt the ratings would stay up without a big launch.

I'm hoping they'll keep it small. A simple 'in memory' slide before the endemol logo in the credits or a picture of her and "1981-2009" just before the titles.

Though they may capitalise on it with an hour / half hour documentary about her as a lead in.

I think the most they should dedicate is a 5 minute documentary followed straight away by BB with no ads.

Most people will have forgot about her by the time it starts.

I think that a little tribute video and maybe a programme with some ex HM's and davina, etc... Launch night will be bigger because of this.

Are people's memory spans really that short? Anyway, the press will remind them. You can pretty much guarantee that all the news sources reporting on BB's return will mention it being the first series since her death, leading to people wanting to tune in to see if there's a tribute.

My hope is that CH4 would donate all the phone in profits to a cancer charity in her memory....
