I created this thread to discuss everything in.

So who's going to be the team leader? Any one want to volunteer?

I'll do it if noone else will but I'm not too fussed so if anyone else would rather do it or recommend someone else to do it then go ahead

I wouldn't mind giving it a go, but if someone paticularly really wants to do it instead then I don't mind.

Anyone come up with any ideas for names by the way?

I was thinking maybe we could take a letter from each name to make a new name?

Take a letter from each one (in alphabetical order obviously, like letter from Loukas, letter from Nicky etc) to spell the team name

I did look through a few magazines for ideas of names. Put random words together lol.

I only got:

implosion, fusion, buttafucco, flame, rainbow riders, fabulators, verglas,
midgets in cupboards, the gingerbread men

it was quite a boring magazine all in all. slightly dissapointing. :whistle:

Right, well I guess we got to make a choice, otherwise it looks bad on us. Sia and Loukas aren't online so if we all vote someone we think would make the best team leader and then ask them to choose someone if they come online before that? :)

But I have one problem with our idea. Although random is good, it's also got to appeal to everyone who's voting. It needs to be funny but also have the "OMG THATS BRILLIANT" thing about it when people see it.

And I agree, but Oink would be more memorable and the logo could have the pigs tail forming the 'o' or maybe one of the nostrils :tongue:

Aww thanks. If we went for it, we could have a default logo then a few "special edition logos" . We could photoshop random members faces on the pigs as well, i'm sure including members of the forum will get people laughing, and more likely to vote for us.

We also have to write a short explanation of why we chose oinks.. I thought all of us could add a little something.

We could say we chose it cos its fun, unique, not boring and that this isn't a graphics competition. As great as the logo is, even if the team come up with an even better amazing out of this world great graphics set, we can say we wanted something fun, something which represented us as a team, pigs :P :tongue:

- pigs can signal their competitive strength and “use this information to minimize overt aggression during disputes about social ranks,” just like many primates (including humans)

- pigs can develop quite sophisticated social competitive behavior, similar to that seen in some primate species

We have to write a paragraph about why we chose the name, why we chose the logo, the whole idea in general.

They are loyal, friendly animals and have a high cognative ability. For each aspect, a member of the groups personality clearly shines through. Nicky demonstrates the loyalty and friendliness, Loukas; for who has an abundance of insightful thoughts, Sam for his high ability and intelligence, Sia for her [[[insert something here]]] ... and Tom, because he is just a bit smarter than a 3 year old.

How about if you write a part two to the descritption, giving more detail of your opinion of the team.

I didn't deliberately not give you a role, and it wasn't your fault either I agree, but we had to sort of get on with stuff otherwise we would have missed the deadline.

I tried writing a discription but Sia made her own one now we are going with that, i am going to so get fired if we loose this task simply because i havent been assigned a roll that i can do well in.

How about if you write a part two to the descritption, giving more detail of your opinion of the team.

I didn't deliberately not give you a role, and it wasn't your fault either I agree, but we had to sort of get on with stuff otherwise we would have missed the deadline.

I'm not angry, i just feel like i'm not needed, which i absolutely hate, i feel like i am not a member of this team and i just stand back and let everyone do it, which i don't want to do. I have wrote my discription already, Sia wrote hers and yeah it's 10xs better than mine hence us using it so i think its just going to be a waste of time writing a part 2 to the description, it's pointless it's just giving me a job for the sake of giving me a job, which i also don't like.

the problem is, it's not relevant to the description concerning pigs. The initial sentence described a pig and our personality described each part of a pig :P

Don't be silly! Of course you're needed. Your comments on this thread have been useful to everyone and your edited version of my paragraph was what made it completley relevant and towards the task :).
I guess it's annoying - it's a bit annoying for me too, but at least you did the job which you were assigned to do, and you did it well. No one can complain about that :)
