So C4 have announced their Spring/Summer 2009 line up today - and tried to avoid all mention of Big Brother in the press release. However, in the depths of the press pack it is confirmed as airing this "summer".
After Davina McCall ushers in the new residents, the doors close, and Big Brother takes control 24/7, cutting all contact with the outside world. The new housemates will not only be at Big Brother’s mercy, but each other’s, as they complete tasks, bitch, backstab and try to get on; winning friends and making enemies along the way.
But the power to decide who stays and who goes sits firmly with those at home. While the unexpected becomes the norm, there’s one factor that remains the same and that is eviction night. Who stays and who goes is down to the viewer.
E4 continues to be the home to Big Brother’s Little Brother and Big Brother’s Big Mouth, as well as being the place to catch the live streaming. While online, fans can keep up-to-date with breaking news and get sneaky peeks at the latest footage from inside the house.

It's from the Spring Summer press pack (http://www.channel4.com/pressandpublicity-spring/factual-entertainment/big-brother-10.html). Interestingly they still claim it's "Britain’s biggest reality show". I guess they're basing that on length, rather than ratings!
And there's nothing there to suggest the live feed will be back - they just say E4 will be the place to catch "live streaming", and by live streaming they probably mean a couple of hours in the afternoon and a few hours after midnight.
From glancing through the rest of the line up there does seem to be a lot of shows which you'd imagine would air at 9pm, and not a lot that seems to be destined for 10pm - so hopefully Big Brother will be back fixed at 10pm where it belongs.

They need the Red button 24/7 on Sky, Virgin and Freeview.
That is want the Public want.

BB should be at 9pm not 10pm! The live feed is not comming back and if bb is on at 10pm then it would mean 11.35pm live feed... Then again E4 might show another program and live feed could be at 12am! Just like cbb6!

Each year C4 seem to make more and more cutbacks to BB.. C4 put more into BB in the early days, even had interactice mini games and multi cam with the red button!

I was hoping one of the spin offs would be axe but hopefully both will be improved for BB10
This is C4's biggest show, I can't understand why it aint the main point in the press pack, I hope C4 treat BB10 well

Looks like C4 want to wash their hands with the show.. Look at what they had for the show in the past and now! It has not gone forwards! In this day and age we want more freedom! More interactive options! The tech is their and the viewers had more choice back in 2002!
The viewers don't want live feed to start at 11.30pm/12am!

That's a good point from the point of view of the live feed, but from the point of view of the main programme I do think 10pm is the best slot, especially with the news at 10 on both the BBC and ITV.
Hopefully Jack Whitehall will be back with Big Mouth, but that said if the live feed isn't returning perhaps it would be for the best to axe Big Mouth so the live feed can start half an hour earlier.
I've always said too it should be axed on eviction night (and launch night) so we can watch how the housemates react to the events for ourselves rather than people discussing it. If they really want Big Mouth on eviction night, it would be better off between the two shows IMO rather than after the second.

Very much agree with this, it would fit in perfectly well, you could still get the reaction from the audience and people at home. And they could easily interview the evictee on the following Monday night show.

I do think the eviction should be the climax of the week for both the viewer and the evictee themselves.
I think in some ways it's devalued their interview with Davina in recent years by having them have to go off to do Big Mouth, a press conference and speak to Big Ears after the show on Friday, and then apart from Big Ears on Tuesday (though that's now axed) last year they generally made just one appearance on BBLB on the Sunday until mid-series when they had to find a job for Zezi.
If the viewers want the live feed then why did noone choose to watch it?
Also Brekkie, can I just ask why you're saying its hidden in the depths of the press pack?

It wasn't mentioned in the speech to launch the season, it's not mentioned as a highlight of the season on the home page and it's only a footnote in the factual entertainment section. It's also not included in the 10 minute long promo clip for the spring/summer season.
C4 have also finally admitted today that they need their "commercially successful" programmes in order to provide their PSB content - and yet still they don't mention what has been the most commercially successful of them all - Big Brother.

As I posted there, nobody would deny it's not the show it once was - but to seemingly let it fade away with little effort both in promoting and revamping the format is very foolish. It deserves one last chance with a relaunch on the scale of BB5. If it doesn't work, not a lot to loose really - but if it does, they'll probably extend the shows lifespan for 2-3 years or so - and perhaps even longer.
maybe this means that we are looking at a may launch, as i dont remember bb being mentioned in the Spring/Summer press pack last year, i think it was in the Summer one
