I think I made a thread similar to this before but i've looked back around 10 or so pages and I can't see it. So who lieks nintendo? I like the DS, I've started playing it loads recently sicne I've had a few new games. I've got a Wii as well but I don't paly it much sicne it's my sister's. I like Warioware and RE4 though. That Madworld looks cool.

So what Nintendo consoles do you own? What are your thoughts on the Wii? ETC.

Dont like the way nintendo have gone i liked the gameboy.

The cube was poor useless in comparison to ps2 / xbox.
The wii is fun at a party, or on your own for about 2 weeks, but the dated graphics and games in general id get so bored of so quickly, it doesn't interest me at all.

I like the ds being able to learn maths science, languages and how to cook is a great idea more for 16+ now though.

I have a DS which I ADORE. It's so compact and all the games are fun. I can't wait for the new one to come out with the camera and stuff.

I also have a Wii, don't use it as much, but I enjoy Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

The Gamecube had some great games but it was really overshadowed by the other two I agree. The Wii definately flourishes with multiplayer but I think this year will see the Wii going from strength to strength as less casual games are coming out.

I think the DS is probably the best handheld console yet of any company, it's got so many great games. I'd imagine the DS2 whenever it comes out will be amazing.

If you like Animal Crossing, there's a game for the DS called 'Enchanted Folk and the school of Wizardry' which is basically Animal Crossing but set in a magic school. It's quite cool, if a little kiddy.

Ooh sounds great I'll defo have a look. I really like the Sim kinda of games where you can sort of roam about on your own and just do little tasks and stuff. I really should give AC a better go on the Wii, I've only played it rwice, cos the first time i forgot to to save and the second time I got this really messed up looking guy so it kind of pissed me off LMAO. I think I might play it now haha.

I also really want to get Guitar Hero for the Wii.

I love Sim games, Although they never tend to be as good as they are on the PC. Apart from Castaway I liked that one. Animal Crossing's a fun game though, I sodl it a whiel back, I wish I didn't now.

I like Guitar Hero but I suck immensely, I have to paly on easy as I can only do 3 buttons, the 4th one is an evasive mystery to me. :laugh: I'll always wail out a song in Rockband or the new GH though!

I reckon if Psp had the games that Ds does with all the learning ones, it would be quality, as the ds has bad graphics and a very limited amount of games.

The DSi is just a useless machine in the progression of the DS
Nintendo should have made major improvements to the machine, giving the real next generation of the DS, not just put 2 cameras on it and a few other minor changes

I prefer the Ds to the Psp

I thinks its just the endless amount of things you can do with 2 screens and the touch screen Psp May have better graphics but for the Fun Factor Ds Owns.

I use to think Psp was overrated though but crisis core changed my mind

I agree andy, I think you have to be 16+ to enjoy a xbox/PS3

and under to enjoy nintendo stuff other than for a couple of days.

That's a silly thing to say, Nintendo's the daddy of Gaming. Without such games as Final Fantasy 1-6 on the Snes you wouldn't have your Oblivion. Games like Contra and Metroid helped shape the action genre while Zelda and Mario are the forefathers of the Adventure and Platformer genres.

Granted recently there's been a heavy focus on Casual gaming but that doesn't mean there's no good games. For the Wii you've got games like Madworld, No More Heroes, House of the Dead Overkill if you want more adult games.

The DS also has a fair few with games such as Dementium, Resident Evil and GTA Chinatown wars.

If Nintendo's so terrible why did Ps3 copy motion controls with the sixaxis? Why are Microsaft bringing out a motion controller? Xboxs and Ps3's aren't exactly mature consoles either, have you ever heard of Viva Pinata? The Maw? Little Big Planet? Singstar?

I got some new DS games today, I've had:

Super Mario 64 DS
Phoenix Wright
Castlevania: Order of Ecclessia

Phoenix Wright is great, at points you have to talk to your DS and it's very addictive. Mario seems quite cool although they've changed the start at least from what I've played. I've only briefly tested the new Castlevania as i'm still playing through The prior one. It seems very interesting though.

My friend wanted one, I don't see the point of them to be honest, you get a crappy camera, lose the GBA slot (Without it you can't play GBA games or Guitar Hero or any games that use addons in that slot) and a bit of itnernet access.

I have a Xbox 360 and sometimes play on my brothers PS3
I'm not buying another PSP, its an awful console which I just can't get into whereas I can get into the DS games even though they are worse quality and for more casual gamers
I need a DS, I will get me one, just haven't decided which version yet

Likwise I own a Xbox 360, a Wii and a PSP. I love the games I have for the PSP but the choice is rather limited while the DS has a lot more publishers supporting it. There's a lot of casual games but you can not belittle the quality of the real games for the system.

There are tons of under 16s on xbox live, which is one of the reasons I never use voice chat because there are too many kids swearing. The 360 also has a lower average age than the Wii. It usually shows on forums too, with most of the kids posting things like 'teh Wii Sux, 360 rulez!' and 'itz not a propa gamez console'.

The average age for a Wii owner is reported to be around 35.

I'm over 35, have had my Wii since launch and I play it more than my 360.

People often generalize, label Nintendo as 'kiddy' and think having a 360/PS3 makes them cool. It really doesn't though, owning a Wii makes you cooler because you are more likely to play with real friends, plus girls love playing Wii, where as the 360 owner is likely to be sitting alone in his bedroom having a bitching session with a 14 year old boy.

Have you tried Play? Or Gamestation, if there's one near you. They often have hard to find games.
