We need to do something that is really fast moving and fun at the same time, we don't want people sat about bored waiting for someone to reply
Maybe some form of panel show?

That's our panel show sorted. :love:
Essentially, TiBB Does The Buzzcocks,/ TiBB Meets The Buzzcocks, would need a logo.. and we all know who the best logo maker is. :hugesmile:
We'd need a host, two head panelists, then we could open applications to be on the panel [4 places], then maybe applications to be a mystery guest.
IF we need lots of people to apply, then we essentially need a range of options people can apply for.
We'd need questions and prepared rounds, which neither of any of the panelists knew about.
I'm afraid I'll have to intervene here...
...unfortunately, the Team 2 has come up with the exact same idea.
Have you discussed this idea privately before now?

Hmm I dunno.. it's a really good idea and i'm willing to fight fot it.
but you're team leader i guess, but i could see it being hugely popular
Are there no other better shows we could do though that are more fun/popular?
I'm not saying we shouldn't use it btw I'm just suggesting finding something a lot better to do if we know what theyre doing

1. TASK IDEAS
Unfortunately, both teams have come up with the idea to run a TiBB version of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Whilst Team 2 were the first to discuss this idea on-forum, Team 1 argued that they thought about it during a private discussion last night.
In order to keep the competition as fair as possible, I have come to the conclusion that neither of the teams will be allowed to use this idea for this task.
Teams are now free to continue with the task.

Well I think we were on the right path.. a panel show is definately an appealing option.
We can keep the same format we will just have to find a different name
What other panel shows are out there? We can adapt the features to fit

We could mix all game shows in to have a super game show in a Peter Kay style.
TiBB's Are You Smarter than a Countdown Millionaire and possibly a Weakest Buzzcock Ready Steady Cooker?
With a big name with elements of gameshows that everyone loves, no one can say this game show is not big. :bigsmile: We can't go wrong.
How it works? Ok we can discuss that later.
Round 1: 4 people go head to head in a game based around a combination of Countdown and Millionaire
Round 2: Buzzcock style rounds asked in the style of the weakest link. Winner wins :tongue:
We'll need to add food in there somewhere to :joker:
We could advertise it as TiBBs biggest gameshow.
Get some britney in it somewhere. We could even have Teams... four teams or something in sort of "Test The Nation" thing.
Out of the applicants we have we could put them into forum teams, eg.
Team Britney, Team Sign Of The Times.. you get the idea.
Etc. with all questions about music and rounds in a general knowlege quiz with elements of EVERYTHING in it.

We could have set teams, but let anyone play along in an IQ sort of mega quiz
I like the idea of teams, maybe we could have mini versions of each game show as a tournament type thing, and have representatives from each team doing each game
I think 4 groups of 3 or more would be good (although even numbers obviously)
Then it could kind of pan out how I said up there but with teams instead of people
Maybe we could even have fancy little graphics with scores on :tongue:

Yeah, we wouldn't want to make it too GAMESHOW MARATHON esque though. So how it would exactly work:
Three rounds where one person from each of the four team takes part in a special themed round.
At the end of the three rounds, part two of the show maybe where two groups are eliminated?
I like the idea of anyone playing along to try and make it succesful.

Right, well we need to get that thread up as soon as possibly asking for applicants. The earlier we do it, the more reponses we will get hopefully.

The show is about six TiBB members who challenge a group of six year olds in a mega game show which involves guessing the TV theme tune, banking, solving maths equations, rearranging letters and phoning a friend, whilst trying to fry an egg.
Of course not! We were lying, which is spookily the aim of the game. In "The Ultimate Liar", hosted by [Loukas and Nicky], six TiBB members all claim to share a similar path to fame. However only one of them is telling the truth, while five others are plain nasty liars. And it's YOUR job to tell which one is the liar.
We're looking for six contestants, whether that be truth telling goodyshoes or down right rotten liars.
This is a one off show full of some much energy, shock and fun. We promise you this is going to the biggest gameshow on TiBB. Are we lying? You'll just have to apply to find out.

My suggestion is:
Post the application thread, we can add the logo and to the thread as nicky comes onlines. Close the application thread tomorrow night so we can choose contestants. Then do the show Thursday night and we've aced this task ready for Friday

Hmm, I think that would be a little boring and if we post that first then they'll adapt theirs to be better, I don't think it should be so revealing ... maybe information upon application type thing?
I still think we should do a few games in one to make the rounds more interesting/exciting and we can do so much more and look as though we're putting in more effort, but if I'm outnumbered then ...

- We need Matt to send the applications to us and we can choose the teams and who we think will do best on the show.
- Contact them and make sure they can do the show.
- Prepare the show rounds

As long as we get the most applications we are fine... I'll try and edit it a bit more to make it less revealing.
I know but if we post our idea first then they can see exactly what we're doing and they can better it

The aim of the game?
We're looking for eight contestants, to be split into four teams, whether they be goody two shoe truth tellers, or down right dirty rotten liars.
Teams will then have to fight it out in a series of themed rounds to win, but what they don't know, is that Team Liar earns their place in the next stage of every round up until the final.
In the final round, the audience must guess which team are the liars to determine which team are the winners.
This is a one off show full of so much energy, shock and fun. We promise you this is going to the biggest gameshow on TiBB. Are we lying? You'll just have to apply to find out.

IT could be, we'd just have to make sure the contestants sent their group answers by u2u or something. Then the audience can play along with quiz questions posted.
Eg if Fom and Christina were on a team and Christina wwas chosen to represent that round, she would u2u her answers to the questions posted in the thread etc, then at the end of the round we could reveal the scores.
The Team Liar, could have fake scores posted each time.

There has been a change in the way this task will work.
Team 1 will post their advertising and applications thread at 9.30pm tonight. Their applications will be kept open for 24 hours, closing at 9.30pm tomorrow.
Team 2 will post their advertising and applications thread at 9.30pm tomorrow. It will be kept open for 24 hours, closing at 9.30pm on Thursday.
Teams will not be required to run their shows, but are welcome to do so if they wish after Friday's firing.

Well as we're going first we should just post a really basic application thing so that they don't try and better our ideas because they'll essentially have an extra day to plan
Also other things we can/need to do:
- Youtube round (as I said earlier, like the Rihanna/Chris Brown thing) and decide which show
- Graphics (like scoring ones, make them all earlier and post the appropriate ones unless they can be done there and then)
- Other games/rounds
So what games are we interested in using in the show?

Come on, BB9 was called a flop, mainly because it wasn't advertised. We should have a logo, make it our tibb avatar, PUSH OUT ALL THE STOPS PEOPLE
Some people will reply to the thread saying they've applied but its only u2u votes that count so we'll need to make sure those have applied by u2u.

Right so what we need to do now is come up with rounds
So if there are 4 teams of 2, then we can have:
Round 1- Countdown/Millionaire
Team 1 v Team 2, Team 3 v Team 4
Round 2- Buzzcocks/Weakest Link
Winner 1 v Winner 2
Round 3- ?
Maybe we could split the team up until we have one final winner?
Where would the liar come into all of that? Like how could they guess etc? Also what themes could we use for each of the games?

We need something to do with Ready Steady Cook lol - so something to do with 'virtual' food or something :\

I don't think we should pack all the games in there. I think the name was just more of a way to attract people to the thread. I mean virtual cooking is just a silly as virtual dancing..
