The PS3 is the best console spec wise but Sony completely screwed up the launch so the 360 has got better games and can be purchased at a cheaper price.

Xbox 360
Is compatable with a lot of Windows Live stuff as well as a really cheap price and a large selection of games
All that chewy said as well as Having better Online Features.

Played all 3 and the PS3 is far behind the other 2
I like the Wii and Xbox360 for different reasons and I do go through stages of preferring one over the other
but lately i'm getting less time to play so the Wii and casual games are more for me at the moment and also the console is just brilliant. The idea, look and game play of the Wii is superior to the other 2.

They all have their own plus points.
XBOX
+ Great range of games, lots of exclusives.
+ Argubly the best online service.
+ It's been around longest so it's had more time to grow.
- You have to pay for online
- too much focus on FPS
- Red Ring of death
- Sucky Controller
PS3
+ Less exclusives but better exclusive killer app games (Metal Gear solid, any exclusive FF games ETC)
+ Free online
+ Great interactivity with the PSP.
+ Great controller
- Bleeding exclusives left right and centre.
- Expensive.
WII
+ Great Exclusives
+ More 3rd party support then other consoles
+ Strength of 1st party games
+ Good shopping system
+ Multiple choice of controllers
+ Good for multi-player
+When done right the motion controls are amazing (See RE4)
- Bad graphics (although graphics don't matter to me).
- Sucky online gameplay (It always seems like an afterthought).
- A heavy focus on casual gaming.
- Wiimotes are expensive.
I'd personally say the Xbox from what I've played, but I've not played enough of the PS3 to make a fair judgement. As of late I prefer my PSP and DS.

Also X-Box was on Watchdog
some people got their Disc scratched and not able to use
in America and UK.
Microsoft did nothing
just said they must have shaked the unit,
but that was not true on UK cases.
So Sony is better
than X-box in that regard.
And a Wii
can not be compared with these two HiDef players.
PS3 for me. People say it's expensive but a lot of the accessories and add-ons for the Xbox 360 are not included with the console bundle, which bumps the cost up. Also online is free. It's also a Blu-Ray player.
I also own a Wii, only tend to play it when there's a large group of people. It's ok for short bursts.

Playstation 3... The tech blows the others away, any real gamer knows that..
The true power is still yet to come from the PS3, while the Microsoft Box and Nintendo pee gimmich have already reached its peek..

Technically it is superior, but what I've seen from the graphics they are pretty much the same as an Xbox, what's the point of having all that power if you can't use it to it's full potential?

Dev teams have had longer on the xbox 360, many still not making the PS3 their main format, over time this will change as more dev teams unlocks the power of the console, but sony have been slow with the dev kits for programers..
In the long run many dev teams will have the PS3 as main console with its tech and blu-ray, by then Microsoft should have blu-ray built in their consoles or face a slow vile painfull death... It can join the Dreamcast!
The 360 is already dated but kept alive by lazy dev teams and of course the spending public!
Even though the PS3 costs more, it is value for money with the tech you get, and blu-ray player built in!!

The Dreamcast was critically successful but financially not so. It's been given legendary status due to it's games that were quickly ported to the orignal Xbox and PS2 when they came out. Technically it was vastly superior to the original Playstation and N64.
To me it sounds like it has more in common with the Ps3 then the Xbox. This generation is reminiscent of the last one, ps2 was vicorious due to it's low price and the fact that it had a head start. The Wii and Xbox are in similar positions to the Ps2 this time.
The Blur ray probably is value for money but until HD REALLY takes off and the price drops on Blu Ray discs then there's not much point to it as a dvd player. A console lives or dies by developers and unless there's a bigger boom in sales for PS3 then Xbox will always be the key platform in which multiplatform games are developed. It's more financially viable.

I Don't see the point in having all 3 whats so ever
The only time i'd get a PS3 is if a final fantasy was to be released on it

360.
Only played the PS3 a couple of times in Gamestation, the graphics were better than the 360, but it was still pretty bland. Plus it costs far too much.
And the Wii, well, if I want exercise I'll go out and play football, not jump around the house holding a controller.
I've had them for birthdays/christmas. Parents don't know what to get me so they just buy whatever comes out :/
I NEVER play on the XBox, use PS3 for COD and use Wii alot.

The best thing about the 360
It has Messenger (MSN) and can access videos, pictures and songs on your laptop....wirelessly!

But that's at it's most basic package and that's the same price as an Xbox Elite.
I really want a PS3 but the prices are way too much for the moment.
