View Full Version : Backing up music
I have over 3,000 songs on my iTunes and its just occured to me that I've never backed my music up. :/
If my computer crashed I'd loose my entire collection which I've worked hard on
Does anyone hear back theirs up regularly, if so what do you use? CDs, removal storage ect?
LOL I never back mine up.

Well, mine are on a USB (memory stick). Does that count as backing my music up?

Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, that counts. Aslong as you have them saved somewhere externally then it counts.

I always keep my files on my memory stick. If I was to loose that I would cry as it is worth to me.
I have a memory stick, but its only 4 GB so it won't hold all my music. CDs would just annoy me.
Burn the files to a DVD every now and again
Thats what I do, get to keep the songs you delete that way as well, good to look back on

I have an external harddrive but it doesn't seem to want to work. I mostly buy CD's anyway.
How do I burn my whole iTunes to a DVD?

My comp's only 10GB and I have nearly 4000 songs.
All my music's on my ipod, and backed up on my bf's laptop.
If I was to lose it on my laptop, I'd just use idump to transfer of la ipod.

Do you have Nero or anything like that?
If you do just select the DVD option and burn a data disc
Takes about 10 mins
