First she snubbed the Brits, now Leona Lewis is proving she's a true diva by taking on Madonna's musical crown.

We can reveal the Hackney lass has nicked the Queen of Pop's producer Timbaland - the mastermind behind her comeback album Hard Candy.

Leona will work with Timbs on the long-awaited follow-up to her debut album Spirit this month.

And with Justin Timberlake, Will .I.Am and Jay-Z lined up to work with her too, her music is set for a racy makeover.

An insider said: "Timbaland can't wait to work with Leona and make her feisty like Beyonce and Rihanna.

"The ballads will still be there but the tracks will be racier and there'll be dancefloor anthems too." A spokesman for Leona said: "It's early stages but we're all very excited."

Besides the fact that Timbaland has worked with anything that has a pulse, the @comeback@ album he produced got some of Madonna's worst ever reviews and is arguably her worst work to date.
